Planning your escape to the heart of Umbria? Getting to Vallo di Nera is easier than you think! 🌲

Whether you're flying in from abroad or driving through the Italian countryside, we’ve got you covered:

✈️ By Plane: Perugia is our closest airport (pick-up available!), but we are also well-connected to Rome and Ancona via train.

🚆 By Train: Head to Spoleto station. It’s just 15 minutes away, and we can come pick you up!

🚌 By Bus: Direct links from Rome or Spoleto make the trip seamless.

🚗 By Car: Find us via the A1 highway: exit at Valdichiana (from the North) or Orte (from the South).

✨ Yesterday, Vallo di Nera celebrated 809 years of history.

On 23 September 1217, the people of Vallo were granted the right to build a new castle under the protection of Spoleto: a moment that marked an important chapter in the history of this remarkable village.

More than eight centuries later, Vallo di Nera still preserves its medieval streets, ancient walls and stories of resilience, surrounded by the beautiful landscape of the Valnerina. 🌿🏰

Vallo di Nera is the little gem where Dolce Vita Coliving is based, and we’re so proud to call it home and share its beautiful history with you!
