B-Dot’s ‘Emblem of America’ EP is out today. Available on streaming, Bandcamp and Nina.

Serving as a sonic time capsule, ‘Emblem of America’ EP takes its name from a historical print depicting an allegorical indigenous American. B-Dot draws parallels between contemporary life and ancient times, invoking childhood memories of digging fossils with archeological tools, the re-discovery of her roots and lineage and nostalgic musical references.

B-Dot is a Philadelphia-born music artist whose genre-defying creations weave ethereal, atmospheric soundscapes, inviting listeners into realms of reflection and raw emotion. Drawing from her Black, American Indian and Puerto Rican roots, B-Dot’s music explores themes of identity, history, mood, and texture. She began DJing and cultivating her artistry in New York City in 2015, and independently released her first two albums ‘Algorhythm’ and ‘Love Note’.
