YOU and your diorama! New challenge hosted by me!
#meandmydiorama hosted by me @dolls_buzz
since I started the doll hobby, I keep taking photos with every finished diorama!
In my opinion I want to see the artist and the diorama together! That makes it interesting for ME! That’s why I start this hashtag #meandmydiorama

You can reflect your work!
It's not a new idea.. I've seen pictures with artists and their dioramas! But Ithink there should be more of it! And yes, I know this is a big step! Take your time and feel proud!

Use the hashtag #meandmydiorama and tag me @dolls_buzz
and post or repost a picture of you and your diorama. Why not.. ?!
It’s the most interesting part of the dollhobby in my opinion, to be honest!

My mom usually took a picture of me and the finished diorama! I've always celebrated that!
This challenge should be there for all of us and is unlimited! Let’s see!

It is not my intention to reach a large target group, I want to raise your awareness of creating a diorama!

Thank you for all the kind messages and questions about my staircase diorama. I appreciate!
There are clips from building the railings that I had never posted. I combined them with a shorter version of building the stair rods and added Mulder and Scully.

I originally planned to post it like this, but now it fits as well to complete my last two posts.
greetings, Kathy 🤗

I’m really looking forward to the speech I’ll be giving this Saturday at the doll meetup @dollsmeet in Gdańsk with the topic “picture composition in doll photography”! How can you create an interesting picture composition? I’ll be sharing my tips and tricks for photography in social media context.

Here’s a behind-the-scenes shot from one of my recent photo shoots in Engelhartszell, where I discovered a miniature castle!

Mulder and Scully are back and ready for adventure!
I was busy the last weeks!
We are really looking forward to the upcoming international meet up @dollsmeet , the speakers, and the entire program in Gdańsk!

This picture was made in a park in “Engelhartszell in Upper Austria”, there is this tiny castle in the entrance of the park. The First time I was there without the dolls but this time I planned the visit!

Mulder: “Scully, this light here is unearthly...!”
Scully: “It’s a normal light, Mulder!”

I captured this scene in the Fanal Forest on Madeira. The place is known for its spooky, foggy atmosphere; unfortunately, it was nothing but sunshine that day but Mulder was convinced there was something supernatural about that light! 😉
On my second visit, however, I was lucky enough to catch the fog (see my previous post).

I saw this tree that I had to bring Mulder & Scully here. 🌲🌫️
Fanal Forest in Madeira is known for its ancient laurel trees and its mysterious fog — but I honestly didn’t expect the conditions to be this perfect. I got incredibly lucky with the mist that day. It made the whole scene feel like a little X-File of its own. 👽
The tree you see is called the “witch tree”!

I finally dyed my hair to match the very first Barbie I ever wanted. 💖✨ Childhood dream unlocked.

It’s the Jewel Hair Mermaid Barbie from 1995 Midge! She was the first Barbie I ever wanted! But she wasn’t available in my county, so my mother gave me the blonde Jewel Hair Mermaid Barbie - my first Barbie ever! Of course now I have the Midge also and her hair were always inspiring me!

My first pictures with the new diorama! Most times Mulder gets new dioramas, but this time Scully got one… with a lot of details. I also found a few clips from the crafting process at the beginning I will share.

I built a 1:6 scale garden shed - a diorama designed for outdoor use - with plenty of details, of course. So, I immediately set up a photo scene featuring Scully and took some pictures.
For the house I used a decoration piece I found long ago and made it look used.
I set up a lot of decoration flowers, built some little furniture and flowerbeds.
For earth pieces I used brown carpet pieces and painted them.
I am looking forward to post the pictures! 🤗

I recently went hiking and my goal was once again to take a picture with a reflection - my favorite theme! It’s always a challenge to make them stand in the water and to capture the reflection!
It’s of course miniature lake Okobogee for my two. 🤗
swipe for the behind the scenes, yes my shoes were not waterproof but it’s okay 😅.

🦊 Mulder: “Scully, this lake looks mysterious... and the surface of the water is so dark, as if it were hiding something... don’t you think there might be something hidden in it?”

👩🏻‍🦰 Scully: “Oh dear! That’s just a murky lake, Mulder!”
Scully thinks: “If only he could think about how nice a picnic for two by the lake would be, instead of his non-existent sea monsters!”
