Stick By Me | Soft pastels on cardboard

Hi everyone,
I know I haven’t been posting so much,
I haven’t figured out my priorities about my way forward with my work and I’m kind confused to be honest…
But I did realised that I have a deep need for this, my inner soul work and that I need to prioritise it more…
It’s essentially me believing in me and as you most know not an easy thing to do.

This is the first time I’ve been painting my dogs with pastel’s, I have fallen in love with pastels from my school and it’s just so fucking awesome, it’s so forgiving and fresh you should try it if you haven’t still, I’ll try to do more of this because oil it super frustrating for me right now and I need more guidance.

Thank you for being here
Peace ❤️ by @dollybluehound

Old work in progress.

I think that one of the reasons I started to shift from digital work to actually colour is that spontaneity that oil paint or any other mediums have and I just couldn't produce it in digital work.
Everything was too clear, too perfect.
You can't get that perfection via live paint, you can't Ctrl z you make mistakes that makes the the painting a more organic...
But the work processing digital was so fresh.
I just couldn't stop and let it breathe.
But anyways I thought to share these with you from a while back 💟
