A lil bit about me 🤩
I'm Fiona a nail tech based in Beeston Rylands Nottingham.
I moved here nearly 6 years ago now with my other half Lewis and I am the mother to my two gorgeous girls Chloe + Hannah.

I actually found it quite difficult in the beginning to find my place and restart my whole life TBH it took a while -

I worked in childcare + education for 13 years then had this crazy idea to start anew and I retrained and gained my qualification in nails at 34 (it's never too late!) signed up to an amazing community @thenailtechorg and with advice and support began setting up my home salon and business you know as @dollyboonails

My mum has always called me Dollyboo, I've always been a bit of a sassy pants according to her so that is where the name comes from 🤣

I would say I'm bold + bubbly with a big heart ❤️ I don't mince my words I'm the antithist of minimalism I love art, beauty, fashion, music anything that moves me and inspires me. Love getting dressed up and going for a few cocktails and dance with the girls but you'll never find me happier than cosied up in my jammies with a good 📖 or movie🍿

I have always been obsessed with nails from being a kid spending all my pocket money on smash hits magazines and nail stickers, practicing on my mum and friends, to not being able to do my nails because of work and LIVING for fri- Sunday press on sets it was no surprise to anyone when I said I'm going to do this full time!

In doing this I have honestly found a sense of community I've found my people! It's true what they say clients can quickly become friends, you share your lives with people and become a part of some huge milestones, birthdays, holidays, engagements, weddings, births, new pets it's been incredible!!
im so thankful for anyone that has chosen to come to me as their nail tech and for my day 1s that have been here with me when it was literally a bare room an old computer desk with the minimal basic tools I started with 🫶🏼

I hear a lot of people say well I can't have that because my nails are too short ...

Any design can be adapted!
I actually LOVE when a client comes in thinking they can only have minimal design or feeling like
'oh my nails don't look as good' or
'I bite my nails so they will never look nice'
only to leave my chair with the cutest set and feeling 10/10!

That's what I do this for!

I have many clients who do not like long nails on themselves or can't have them due to their work and lifestyle and that's ok!

Short nails need TLC too!
The difference just a clean manicure will do to hard working hands is incredible!
