Somebody once years ago slagged me and Ellie off for wearing aprons. They called us the “Cath Kidston army”.

Trouble is it’s probably the best compliment we’ve ever had!

If you missed me on @gardenersworldtv you can hit the link in my bio to catch up on iplayer.

It’s there for a year.

Despite the dreadful rain we had a wonderful day. Gallons of tea hiding in my kitchen in and out of the garden trying to make the best of it.

Thank you all for your kind words and your encouragement of me, its something I’ll never forget nor take for granted.

And yes, @francestophill is as delicious as you’d expect her to be.

You’ll catch me on your telly tonight then.

Gardeners World on BBC2.

I haven’t seen any of it so gawd knows what’s coming.

It was a dreadful day and all plans were re jigged because of the relentless rain.
Most of it spent drinking tea in my kitchen and popping out to the garden when we could.

Airing tonight Friday, 14th August at 8pm, with a repeat on Saturday 15th August at 8.30am, and again on Thursday 20th at 8am - all on BBC2. It will also be available on iPlayer for the next year!

In a job lot of old postcards I won at auction out of 100 I found both my houses.

I’ve lived here for 36 years and it’s the first time I’ve ever seen that view in the second picture.

I love my little home.
