⭐Merida⭐ "I am Merida, first born of Clan DunBroch, & I'll be shooting for my own hand!"This is just a dream for me. Merida has always been one of my favourite princesses. She was my boost of confidence when I had such a bad self-esteem and hated my hair as a teenager. Her costume was a dream and almost a year and half has passed between the fabrics purchase and the moment I feel ready to make it. And now she's here, standing proudly in all her glory and I feel so emotional looking at this picture. For the location, @abbayedevillers was also a dream for @axelclergeau so we decided to travel almost 1000km to shoot my costume in this wonderful place. It was truly majestic and it felt really special standing among history and the silence of the ruins. I hope you will see a little of my emotion in this picture and that you will love it as much as I do. ⭐Gwen the Hallowed Seamstress⭐I don't have any words to describe how I love this photo. This is the end! 6 months of intense crafting, sewing, crying and anxiety 🤣 but she's there and I couldn't be any prouder. It was a huge project, the biggest I've ever made and I crafted (for the first time in years) this giant pair of scissors. I really hope I will wear her so many times for so many years! Now, fingers are crossed for the contest but even if I don't win anything, I surpassed myself. In the end, being able to finish this huge costume for the deadline and loving it so much is all I would dream of. I want to thank my dear friend @axelclergeau for his work and responding present to immortalize my baby for the first time ! 🤣 More than being extremely talented, you also are an exceptional human being and I'm very happy that I can call myself your friend! Throwback to a sea photo shoot we made with @axelclergeau. The inspiration was of course Elisabeth Swan from Pirates of the Caribbean after she get lost in a desert island with Jack. I only posted 3 pictures while we had at least 15 insane shots. So here is some more ! ⭐Loulan⭐This is the first picture of the costume with the prettiest fabrics that I own. I really feel emotional regarding this costume. First, Loulan (and the entire Apothecary Diaries characters) is one of the best written female characters I've seen in a very long time. Except Ghibli studios, I don't have any other example in mind of an anime that makes such deep and strong women. Loulan is my favourite and her dancing scene in the snow is clearly on my list of dream photoshoots. Then, let's talk about the costume. I chose every fabric during my trip to Hong Kong and Japan. The entire costume is a dear memory from the best travel I ever made. More than just the quality of the fabric (you can't stop me speaking about the wool and silk purple coat), being able to choose my fabric close to the place the anime takes place feels just right.
