That the simplest words will be the hardest to say. Your teachers will become your friends and your patients will become your teachers. Sometimes, when you’re navigating the space between science and God, your most sacred gift to another human is just to bear witness and be a healing presence. That in the face of grave uncertainty, our power will always be each other and curiosity our sharpest tool. Your mistakes will sit like shadows next to your triumphs and when you can’t sleep, you will weigh them against each other on the scale of your mind - but the sun always rises again, as will you.
