had the opportunity to compose music for an ad for expedia and hotels.com. huge shoutout to @mylesfromnowhere for leading the project and trusting me with the sound. was definitely something new for me but love the way it came out. i added some of the process behind the scenes:

2 - the process of sequencing the samples, drum patterns, and fleshing out the rest of the beat

3 - i made so many demos for this lol it took awhile to find the right sound to fit the mood of the commercial.

4 - this is one of the first demos cut to picture that felt very close to the right vibe. one of my favorite demos. made every demo to this cut with jimmy

5 - very first demo i did for this, no lie i thought this was the one lol thought i was real clever with the sneaker squeaks and net swishes. really did like the drums on this one tho

6 - little dembow-esque drums on this one. idk i just always liked this one

7 - i knew this wouldn’t be the one they went with but i really tried to sneak a west coast banger into the ad lmaooo “they not like us”

8 - this one 100% sounds like something vince staples would’ve rapped to on “big fish theory”

9 - lol this was by far the most ambitious demo. the main synth reminds me of yeezus and i mix that with a sprinkle of cumbia drums at different parts lol something about this i like tho…

10 - what my desktop always looks like after i finish a big project taken in Phoenix, Arizona by @dom.normal

most music i make these days is born, lives, and dies in the solitude of my hard drive without ever seeing the light of day. posting these in hopes that it will make me finish them. for now they are just rough drafts (with some vocals?) + some pictures i took recently that i like by @dom.normal

i made a video about my thoughts on the question “the meaning of life.” this is my first time making something like this. with each passing day i can feel my brain being fried by short form content. idk but i think that’s what pushed me to make something that’s a little longer, more in depth, and “meaningful” lol

this stemmed from a class i took in college about marshall mcluhan and this idea i’ve had floating in my head that i was never able to fully articulate. so this was my attempt to do that. link to the full video in my bio taken in Phoenix, Arizona by @dom.normal
