Opening Night of Pretty Woman: The Musical - National Tour 💖🌹

It’s crazy to think that two years ago I was in this same theatre swinging the @anastasiabway tour. I think it’s a beautiful thing to return somewhere with a newfound perspective, appreciation, and gratitude for just how lucky you are to be living your dreams.

An immense thank you to this cast, to @dbbonds and @moweryrusty, and the entire company. I can’t wait to share @prettywoman and the role of Stuckey with you all over the next few months.

KEEP ON DREAMING!

First NYC Cabaret Performance ☑️

So grateful I got to sing at Don’t Tell Mama this past week as part of @sethbhdotcom ’s Talent Showcase! I shared the stage with some INCREDIBLE artists (all of whom kicked ass 🤌🏻) and I got to debut my original song, “You Made Me Believe In Magic”, in front of an NYC audience - with overwhelmingly positive feedback.

Still beaming from the support of my family and friends, everyone who came to see, and everyone who couldn’t but wished me broken legs nonetheless. 💫🎭

Let me know what you think of the original song in the comments! More music on the way 🫡

I once had a teacher tell me I need to stop and smell the roses more in life…and how right he was (thanks, @tweelabee ◡̈ )

Everything has the power to be a moment, to make a memory. Choose love. Trust intuition. Stay Present 🌹

(the @southwestair plane was NOT a paid actor ✈️)

Kinky Boots National Tour - Opening Night!

Celebrating the beginning of a wonderful, joyous, and KINKY adventure!! 💖👠 @kinkybootsontour

Endless gratitude to @dbbonds, @moweryrusty, @wvdmusic, and @jammyprod for their guidance and trusting me with some Price & Son brogues 👞

This cast and this show are genuinely something special; Kinky Boots is a story that demands to be heard - now more than ever. What a gift to keep pursuing my dreams and using art to change people’s minds (and, hopefully, the world 🌎)

S/o to @mtaagency @murnanecastingnyc @jimkeith76 @xroads_live - wouldn’t be here without y’all.
So grateful. Let’s make boots!!!

Stolen moments from what feels like a lifetime ago in Grand Rapids, MI 📸

Never really take pics without a shirt on so HUGE thanks to @marciagzeledon for creating a safe space for me to explore, create, and embrace the chest hair :)

You are a work of art. Never forget that.

“GRWM” (Get Ready With Me) is a popular social media trend where people document how they get ready for their day - Choosing an outfit, doing their hair, preparing for whatever the day throws their way. The hashtag has been used over 8.2 million times on Instagram alone.

But how do you “Get Ready” for grief?

A year ago, my friend, brother, and former goaltending partner Conor found his wings and flew away, quite unexpectedly. He was 26. He had so much life to live; things to look forward to; friends, family, people he loved.

I woke up the morning of his wake hours before my alarm. I couldn’t sleep. It was appropriately raining. And I just started capturing my morning on camera. I’m not entirely sure why…as I creative, I guess I cope through creating things when I can’t understand them or the emotion is too intense to bear.
I sat on the footage for a while amidst my travels, contracts, and adventures, contemplating what to do with it.
It’s unedited.
It’s vulnerable.
It’s a tangible visual of grief.

How can we truly “get ready” to say goodbye for the last time? I still don’t have an answer. Maybe it’s just ciao ciao for now.

I hope this short film can spark conversation with family, friends, and the people we love about grief and how we navigate its vacillating waters.

Please share your comments below! I would love to hear your thoughts and begin a dialogue!!
And please share on your stories & with your friends. Unfortunately, Instagram’s algorithm won’t introduce anything over 3 mins to new audiences.

💚💛To support the Conor J. Hylton Legacy Fund, you can donate using the link in my bio or below in the comments, putting Conor’s name in the memo 💚💛

Tell those you love that you love them, unapologetically, while they can still hear you.

Now come along and GRWM 🕊️💐
