Hey everyone,
Just wanted to say thank you to all the families and wrestlers who came out this past week.
Seeing the kids from all rooms grinding together on the mats made for an awesome Saturday. They put in some serious discipline, picked up on the systems quickly, and simply worked hard from start to finish. Thank you for trusting us with them.
Also, a big shoutout to Vinny Zerban for taken the time out of his schedule and anyone who helped out behind the scenes to keep things moving smoothly. I really appreciate the help. Hopefully, the kids enjoyed the pizza during lunch because they definitely earned it.
I’m always around if you or your wrestler ever needs anything, whether it’s questions or technique, extra work, or just talking through the sport. My door is always open.
See you guys back on the mats soon.

We’re putting together a wrestling camp and wanted to make it something we would’ve wanted to go to when we were younger.

Vinny and I are going to spend the day wrestling, drilling, getting live, and just talking about the things that have helped us along the way.

No matter what level you’re at, if you love wrestling and want to get better, come hang out with us and get some work in.

We’re going to keep it simple — wrestle hard, learn a lot, and have a good time doing it.

After 18 years… I’m done. 6 years of college wrestling was by far the hardest thing I’ve ever done.

When I was a kid, I thought things got easier as you got older. Wrestling taught me the opposite—it only gets harder, and the price only goes up.

I’m not walking away a national champ or an All-American. And that’s something I have to live with.

Because the truth is… I had it all at one point. Undefeated. 4x state champ. 2x Fargo champ. God gave me everything—and somewhere along the way, I didn’t handle it right. I let two years slip. With things like alcohol, I knew better, but I still made those choices. In this sport, that’s all it takes. It costs everything.

Wrestling doesn’t care what you could’ve been. It only shows what you were.

What people don’t see is what it takes:
waking up when your body’s broken, cutting weight when your mind says quit, showing up every day to get humbled, being alone in a room full of people, discipline when nobody’s watching, sacrifice nobody claps for.

After I screwed up, all I wanted was to be reliable again. Someone my coaches trusted. Someone my teammates could count on.

Part of me feels like I deserve how it turned out. Part of me feels like I worked for more. Maybe both are true.

But I didn’t quit.

There was a point I almost walked away. It would’ve been easier to disappear—but I didn’t. I stayed in the fight, and because of that, I can live with how this ends.

It hurts. It still sucks. But I trust it.

Thank you Nebraska Wrestling for starting my career.
Thank you UNC Wrestling for finishing it.

And most importantly, thank you to my family—my parents, my sister, my cousins—and my girlfriend. You stayed with me through everything.

Wrestling gave me something bigger than titles—it gave me truth.
