“Blind Devotion” V12 ✅ Second Ascent.

It’s over. The old “Rocking Chair” project at Sheep Mountain near Helena,MT is FINALLY finished for me!

I have been working on this climb any time I am home for the past 12 YEARS! First introduced to it by Luke Evans when I was in high school. I would go out after school to work on this climb. It was my first true project. Going off to college and military adult life, I would only ever get to try it again on leave or vacation back home. Typically one or two sessions before having to leave again. Not enough time to truly finish off this climb.

Today, I finally finished it with @nolanverrill (the FA) supporting! I cannot express the amount of gratitude I have for everyone who has come out with me to sesh or support on this climb over the many many years! @cashmoney_crisp @jacksonwetherill @nolanverrill @dominicksperanza @speranzaellen @duncan.w.ellis thank you all so much!! This climb has been a journey and couldn’t have done it without everyone involved over the many many sessions!

I love this sport 😎! Now, FINALLY, onto the next climb!

G-Master V15✅. Still in shock! Ever since I was young and starting to climb, V15 always seemed like the peak that I wanted to achieve. I dedicated a large portion of my trip to working and sending this climb along with specific training at @springsclimbingcenter the months leading up to the trip. After a fight with some aggressive food poisoning last week, finally felt rested and recovered!

It’s been nearly 9 years since doing my first V13. All in all, I’ve gone through 1 complete pulley rupture, 4 bad shoulder tweaks, a lumbrical tear, broken heel, broken pinky toe, severely sprain ankle, lower back tweak, a dislocated shoulder and surgery, and countless other minor injuries. Seemed like every time I would start to get close to the next grade, I would get injured again. Can finally safely say I am the strongest I have ever been right now!

No climb is complete without an all star crew! @justin_j_hsu , @stefano_coolio , and especially @danielgershin (who was with me for every single session!) along with everyone who gave me encouragement on Instagram! Thank you all so much for the psych!! Also a huge thanks to Mike Wright and his staff at @missoulaboneandjoint ! Shoulder is holding up great!!

Going to enjoy the rest of my rocklands trip so no more projecting! #bouldering #climbing #rocklands #lasportiva @madrockclimbing @chalkcartel by @dom.speranza3

“El Sayal” V12 ✅. Finished this one off after punting the top over thanksgiving! Sending this climb marks the end of one of my life long goals in climbing: 12 V12s (or harder) in 12 months. Been chasing this for the past few years missing it by just a few days here and there.

This was the last of random arbitrary self-imposed climbing challenges I gave myself as lifetime goals. The others were:
52 double digits in a year (accomplished when I was 26),
Multiple V13s in a month (accomplished in rocklands summer of 2024)
Climb V15 (summer of 2025).

Does anyone else have fun climbing related life goal challenges??

“Crown of Aragon” V13 ✅!
Unbelievably psyched to tick this one off! Tried it a couple sessions last season and one other session a week ago. Went first try from the ground today! Great way to start off my hueco season!
After this, went to “Rumble in the Jungle” and got another send! Truly amazing day of climbing!

Thanks to the hueco tanks volunteer guide John for running the tour! And the great psyched crew!

Hot Zucchini V11 ✅ Coolest V11 of the trip this year! Large scale compression isn’t really my style but loved this climb! Also really cool to see my right shoulder really active on these spanny moves! Just 18 months ago I had labrum surgery on that shoulder and feeling stronger than ever!
Thanks for the beta @tomerico89 🎥 @danielgershin

Sky V13 (8B)✅. Absolute “life list” rock climb!!! Crazy how difficult this climb felt on the first session spending over 2 hours to stick the first move a single time! Three sessions total and unbelievably psyched! 25 more days in rocklands!!!
Thanks for seshing @mattiasbmclimbs , @bfox____ ,and @daniel_beall ! And everyone else out there supporting!! 🎥 @dynobryno
