Yesterday my sister got married and this might be my favorite photo. It was taken by our mom just before Nicola left after getting ready with her bridesmaids. I love this photo and to me kinda sums us up. We’re super different people and she is always so put together. Me, not so much. Happy Mom Day Mom! Thank you for being our mom and an Instagram post sure as shit won’t do it justice. But this photo is funny. Thanks for always feeding/caring for me and all our friends. Even when you’re not even in the same city. Also doing your best to understand and try and accommodate that I don’t eat animals 😉. The care packages for me and for people you’ve never met are incredibly appreciated. Finally Loki thanks you for being a wonderful grandmother. He can’t wait to almost knock you over when you can visit again. But please keep the yams coming. It’s national dog day and this is basically my dog Loki’s Instagram anyways. So here’s yet another photo. I’ve been wanting to post something about the @cityofcalgary engagement survey on animal by laws but I’m still too fucking annoyed about the idiotic and leading language used in said survey so this is as close as it’s going to get. The subject of BSL was broached and singled out a specific type of dog or vague description of which my boy could fall under. If you don’t know what BSL is its Breed Specific Legislation and it doesn’t work with overwhelming factual data to prove it doesn’t. I could go on forever but I won’t as this is a fucking novel as it is. If you think BSL is a good thing you are ignorant and might as well get your “facts” from “sources” like Fox News. Furthermore you are not my friend. You might as well be some all lives matter asshole and think it’s ok for cops to kill people while you’re at it. I think I posted a link in my bio to fill out the survey and let the city of Calgary know that we have excellent, world renowned bylaws regarding dogs. There is literally no need even broach the subject of BSL.
