Gowanus continues to evolve into one of Brooklyn’s most dynamic neighborhoods, where new homes, local businesses, restaurants, nightlife, and creative spaces are coming together along the canal.

A recent @grubstreet piece captures that transformation, highlighting the growing collection of restaurants and entertainment giving the neighborhood an increasingly vibrant and distinctive character.

We're excite to share Domain has secured $175 million in construction financing for #Elara, our new mixed-income residential development in Queens. The two-building community will bring 429 new homes to Astoria, including 107 permanently affordable units, along with thoughtfully designed amenities and retail space.

“Astoria is one of New York’s most vibrant and culturally rich neighborhoods. We’re excited to see The Majestic featured on @news12bk’s Rebuilding Brooklyn segment, highlighting how the project is helping shape the future of the Gowanus waterfront.

The Majestic will bring 255 residences, including affordable homes, 18,000 square feet of retail, alongside 3,200 square feet of Gowanus Mixed Use and @artsgowanus spaces, 10,000+ square feet of indoor amenities, and thoughtfully designed outdoor gathering areas. Supporting it all is #myDomain, our new resident experience platform that connects every amenity space at #TheMajestic, making it easier for residents to access services, engage with our team and residents — building a community, ultimately enhancing everyday experience, and quality of life.

Throughout Q2, our commitment to community remained at the forefront. Across our portfolio, our teams, residents, and members engaged in volunteer efforts, nonprofit partnerships, sponsorships, and community events that created meaningful connections and lasting impact.

The Shop SOMA is now open in South Market, expanding @theshopnola's footprint in New Orleans with a 5,400-square-foot coworking space featuring 11 private offices, 12 dedicated desks, 30 commons memberships, conference rooms, event space, and flexible work areas. More than two-thirds of the private offices were leased before opening day, reflecting strong early demand. Inspired by the "Dawn and Dusk Downtown" concept, the design draws from the changing light over the Mississippi River and the Crescent City Connection, incorporating local art and warm, thoughtful interiors. As Downtown New Orleans continues to attract companies, entrepreneurs, and talent, #TheShopSOMA strengthens the neighborhood's growing ecosystem of flexible workspaces while adding to the vibrant mix of businesses, restaurants, retailers, and services that make South Market a dynamic place to live and work.

In just 18 months, Good Company has successfully leased more than 3,000 new development units, expanded its third-party business, and applied Domain’s vertically integrated approach to drive strong performance for partners and clients alike. With approximately 2,300 additional residential units in Domain’s pipeline across Gowanus, Greenpoint, Astoria, and Long Island City, we remain focused on delivering high-quality housing in neighborhoods where demand continues to grow.

We’re proud to celebrate the topping out of Majestic at 540 Degraw Street in Gowanus, Brooklyn. This 10-story mixed-use development will bring 255 rental units containing a mix of studio to 3-bedroom apartments, including 25% affordable housing, along with approximately 14,000 square feet of retail and office space and 45 enclosed parking spaces. Majestic will offer a robust amenity package featuring a coworking lounge, indoor-outdoor fitness center, golf simulator, pet spa, landscaped courtyard, and rooftop terrace. We’re grateful to our partners and project teams for reaching this important milestone and look forward to its completion in 2027.

A big moment for Gowanus as the historic Carroll Street Bridge reopens after five years, reconnecting the neighborhood and celebrating one of Brooklyn’s most unique landmarks. Join us on Saturday from 4:00–6:30 PM at 420 Carroll Street for a community block party organized by @theshopbk, our coworking and community platform, with a gelato social hosted by our affiliate, @igloo_nyc, in partnership with Albero dei Gelati. Last week, team members from Domain, @igloo_nyc and @thevoreagroup came together for our annual New York Community Day, partnering with @materialsforthearts (MFTA), a #MyCommunity partner that helps keep valuable materials out of landfills by redistributing them to public schools, arts organizations, and community groups throughout New York City.

Our team helped sort, organize, and prepare donated materials for reuse, supporting both environmental sustainability and equitable access to creative resources for educators, artists, and students across the five boroughs.

Community Day is an important part of our commitment to community engagement. By dedicating time to service, we strengthen our connection to the neighborhoods where we live, work, and develop while supporting organizations that create lasting impact. Partnerships like this reflect our belief that thriving communities are built through collaboration, stewardship, and meaningful investment in local organizations.

Members of the Domain team and residents of @jasperhunterspoint joined hundreds of runners, walkers, and neighbors at the LIC 5K in support of the important work of @licwaterfront.

As a sponsor of this year's event, Domain was proud to provide race entries for team members and support an organization dedicated to enhancing, maintaining, and activating the waterfront parks and public spaces that serve the Long Island City community.

Through our #MyCommunity program and broader community engagement efforts, we believe strong neighborhoods are built through meaningful partnerships with local nonprofits that create opportunities for connection, recreation, and civic pride.
