Sneak peek of the mug rug swap project I made for #sewtopiaswap @sewtopia 🧵
I used a Balisong layer cake from @modafabrics and my Lucky Charm Quilts book (also from Moda) for the pattern inspiration.
A really fun project! Sending out next week to my recipient.

Scored this giant artwork at Oakland Museum White Elephant Sale!
@whiteelephantsaleomca Hauled it back on the shuttle, then through the BART parking garage to my car.
Guess what, too big for my car 😐 Had to call Eric to pick up my lucky find in his truck.

Apparently I took ZERO sewing project pics in 2025, other than this bag that I made for Kate as a Christmas gift. 😐🙃😭
This is the Fika Tote from Noodlehead patterns @noodlehead531 . I sewed it using Japanese selvedge denim, cotton corduroy, and (vintage! egads) Nine Inch Nails concert tees, all from my stash. The corset hooks are from an excellent source, @biasbespoke. I sewed in between the hooks since they are non-functional, just there as a cool accent.
I am resolving to post some sewing projects in 2026!

My kid graduated from UC Davis today!
What a ride- we dropped off a 17-year-old girl in Sept 2021, and now she's off to Kings College London for her Masters in Global Religion & Society.
