You’ve seen his work on our stages, even if you didn’t know it. ✨

Meet @domharrison , Ballet Ireland’s Rehearsal Director and one of the faculty at our Summer Intensive. Every production we tour passes through his hands in the studio.

Sheffield-born and trained at @csbschool , Dominic danced with @northernballet , @scottishballet , and companies across Europe. He first joined Ballet Ireland in 2013, and returned in 2022 to perform works by Johan Inger, Ohad Naharin, and fellow intensive faculty member Filipe Portugal, before stepping into the Rehearsal Director role in 2024.

His philosophy in the studio? “I always strive to create a mutually supportive space. We’re all here simply to move and be moved — and if you can just be yourself, you’re going to love the results.”

And what keeps him motivated: “There’s a special moment on stage where, if you’re lucky and you’ve done the work, you can forget everything and be totally in the present — supporting and being inspired by each other.”

Taking centre stage is @domharrison ☄️

Dominic has developed an extensive career in both ballet and contemporary dance across Europe. SDC is excited to welcome him for his first performance with the company and in central Belfast as he takes on the highly demanding solo role in this marathon performance.
