❤️‍🔥Fuerza❤️‍🔥invites you to celebrate the beauty and joy✨of Latin partner dance with a beginner-friendly bachata lesson taught by Iliana @chucheria.7 and Andrea @andrea_j_pitts as part of a night of dance, drag, and more dance at @hotmamascanteen on FRIDAY MAY 8th. The lesson starts at 7:30PM and welcomes new dancers and everyone who wants to move their bodies 🎶

Bachata was born of bars, brothels, and sexual innuendo in Black working-class neighborhoods in the Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 Today it is danced across the Caribbean and the world 🌎

This event and opening dance lesson is designed to be gender expansive and expressive🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈, welcoming all bodies, abilities, and desires on the dance floor🔥

Iliana and Andrea seek to educate, energize, and encourage LBGTQ+ Latinx folks and our many allies to experience the amazing connection and joy possible✨ through Latin partner dance.
