This is my office on Sunday morning. It’s the battleground position but also my happy place. These tools may “look cool” but it’s not about being cool, it’s about using them to help me lift up a sound that will unite people in praise and worship to God no matter their situation and lead them to a place of encounter with Jesus. Last night as I’ve been growing through one of the most trying points of my life, I sat on the piano to pour out my anguish and all my cares to the Lord. As I was in worship, there was a song that came to my mind that I haven’t played and sung since last time I was with my Sunset worship community. This song titled “Not In a Hurry” by Will Reagan & United Pursuitwas introduced to me by my friend David Elevate whom is a faithful worshipper and someone with the purest heart for worship I’ve known. I recalled the moment and the words of the song to slow down and focus on just pursuing the presence and hearing the voice of God and that everything changes with that.

As I wake up this morning, my heart is still aching but even heavier as I’m finding out my friend David has gone to be with the Lord. He was great friend, a father, husband, business owner, and man with a great testimony. His only desire was unite people of all colors, backgrounds, and even different churches to elevate praises to our God and not be restrained by some of the limitations that we sometimes make within our four wall buildings that we call church. He just wanted to take the gospel out there to people and have them encounter the Joy of the Lord. He shared the gospel at his barbershop, he had this way of smiling and enjoying life that was so admirable. I was blessed to have met you and done life with you my brother, I’ll see you up there in glory. My condolences and prayers to Sarah Carlson-Diaz and her family, and all of my Sunset Community friends, Crosspoint church, and other churches. by @dominikeyz

Working for the Church always has these wonderful moments that you get from people who are working alongside you to accomplish a mission and they get it (the sacrifice), but also know how to have fun and honor each other. This has been one of the most stressful & exhausting Christmas seasons but glad to have these happy moments. We have seen the reward of so many people coming to Jesus or returning to the faith. Grateful to my pastors and fellow staff members. by @dominikeyz
