What can I say about the 2025 National other than it was the best one yet!

Great weather, great people, great cards, great non-cards, and overall, just an amazing vibe. I was mostly impressed by the mix of different types of people who joined together for a common love of collecting (and some flipping!).

The hobby appears to be in an extremely healthy place. A little froth here and there, but no complaints! I’m so grateful to be apart of this hobby and am looking forward to many National events in the future!

Culture Collision 2024 was a success!! Thanks @ashdeezy for a great hang. Sold a few cards, bought a 2014-15 Flair Showcase LeBron James Jambalaya, as well as a vintage Snow White portrait and attended the @cardshqshop launch party. All in all a great day!

2024 National is in the books! What a weekend in my home town of Cleveland, OH. Cards, friends and family; what else could you ask for?!

Hi friends and family,

In September 2024, my dad Pete was diagnosed with Stage 5 kidney disease. His kidneys no longer function on their own. For two years he’s done dialysis 3x/week just to stay alive, plus endless hospital trips for testing. It takes a real toll on his body and mind. Between needles, tests, and watching what this disease does to fellow patients. On top of that, medical jargon, information overload, and a never-ending stream of bills (gas to and from dialysis, prescriptions, labs, co-pays, and a strict diet).

My sisters and I started a GoFundMe to help him recoup some of these costs. He’s already incurred nearly $25,000 in expenses, with more ongoing.

Pete has never met a stranger and lives by the golden rule. He’ll run out in the rain to bring you an umbrella, mow your yard, shovel your snow, drive you anywhere, grab your groceries. He has no problem inconveniencing himself to help someone else. But when he needs help, he won’t ask, because he doesn’t want to be a burden.

So I’m asking for him: please share this with your community, and if you’re able to donate, my family and I would be forever grateful. Every bit helps.

I love you more than words can say, but I will give it the ol’ college try =)

You are so many amazing things in this world: A kind and loving wife who motivates and challenges me to be the best possible version of myself. An amazing dog and cat mom who puts her pets’ needs before her own. An incredible friend who is always there to lend an ear or a hand. And a selfless daughter who would drop even the most important of things at the drop of a hat to be home when needed.

Your birthday is not just a celebration for today; it’s also a day to remind yourself of all the obstacles that you have encountered and overcome. It’s a day to acknowledge all of the past versions that you have had to shed so that you could make room to evolve into the person you are today. It’s a day to reflect on how far you’ve come, as well as to contemplate and begin to manifest which version of you that you choose to become over your next set of chapters in the story that is your life.

You have collected an amazing circle of friends along your journey; a direct reflection of the incredible person you are. You are the most beautiful person, inside and out, that I have ever met, and I’m simply humbled and grateful to be along for the ride 😊 and don’t worry, I made sure to fasten my seatbelt 😉

This post is a special one for me, @itscori and our fur-family:

A few weeks ago, I asked Anthony @6cattivodesigns to make us a custom art card of our late Bernie, who recently crossed the rainbow bridge after 14 amazing years.

Bernie was the absolute sweetest dog we could have ever asked for. He loved his mom and dad, as well as all the members in his pack. When we first adopted Bernie and Bestey, their foster names were Jack and Jill. Although we eventually renamed them, we’d joke that Jack and Jill would go up the hill (a term we coined to refer to the times they would crawl up our chests whenever we would be lying down). Bernie traveled all over the country with us, from Indiana, all the way cross-country to Arizona, back again to Indiana, and finally down to Georgia.

On the surface, Bernie seemed like your typical dog, who enjoyed typical dog-like activities, including: belly rubs, chasing siblings in the yard, and chewing sticks while basking in the sun. He would wake you up with the absolute sweetest snuggles and would stand on your chest and give you just a single kiss on the nose. Of course, Bernie loved dinner time, and he would normally start barking about 2 hours before it was time to feed them, just to make sure you didn’t forget!

As he got older, he didn’t move around as much, but he enjoyed his time next to the space heater, as well as his favorite spot on the couch (so much so that he left his indent on every couch we’ve ever owned). His barks turned into snarfs (that’s what Cori and I named them), his runs turned into slow walks with a limp, and his single kisses on the nose became less frequent, while his vet visits became more frequent. However, his love for his mom, dad, and sibling continued. As the days passed, they would lie with him on the couch to give him company (as well as to share in the benefits of his heated blanket that soothed his old, aching bones).

On the surface, Bernie seemed like an ordinary dog, but underneath, he had the most extraordinary impact on our lives. He truly was the most special pet I’ve ever had the honor and privilege of sharing my life with.

Collector Commentary: It seems only fitting that I post this pick-up tonight, as Fernando goes number 1 overall in the 2026 NFL draft. As a part-time Hoosier, the 2025 IU championship will go down as one for the ages. I’m wishing this young man nothing but the best. It will be interesting to what how his wholesale personality meshes with Sin City. Here’s hoping he learns a thing or two from the 🏈 🐐 TB12.

Collector Commentary: One of my favorite recent pickups, and first piece (of hopefully many) from The Card Carver (T.C.C.) 🏀 🖼️ 🔥
- I admire T.C.C.’s modern take on a classic piece of art, The Tree of Life, painted by famous Austrian painter, Gustav Klimt.
- Just as The Tree of Life represents a bridge between heaven, earth, and the underworld, this piece represents a bridge between classical art and modern card art. Nobody does this better, in my opinion, than the @thecardcarver. Bravo 👏🏼

Bernie. My sweet boy.

Wednesday night, we said goodbye to this sweet old soul, just a few months after losing his sister. Almost 15 years of the best kind of love that’s left us with an even greater heartbreak.

Bernie was a well traveled boy who lived in 3 different states across the US, swam in two oceans, and peed in a lot of states along the way. He loved his squeaky hedgy, kitty cats, meal times and snuggles. As he aged, little paws became wonky and he would get “stuck” on the stairs. He never let us forget about breakfast or dinner, no matter how old he got. We were really hoping he would make it to his 15th birthday in June, but the universe had other plans.

This all feels like it happened so fast. I took him to UGA ER early Tuesday morning and he rapidly declined. Saying goodbye was the kindest thing we could do for him. He wasn’t alone and he was so loved. What I wouldn’t give for one more single kiss on the nose from him. I hope he’s found a sunny spot with endless sticks to chew.

Run easy, Bernie boy. Go find your sister. 🌈💖
