One for the books…literally. 📚👀 Ngl, it made me sad seeing the line out the door for pictures while hardly anyone seemed to be browsing the books. I was able to scoop a gift for a friend and some kids’ books about Venice for my daughters 🤓 📍Libreria Acqua Alta by @domyeli_
At the airport, thinking about how eleven years ago my mom and I were in Italy for my first visit. Since then, I’ve moved out of Florida, gotten married, and become a mother. That time has 10x’d my love and appreciation for my mom. So happy we got to celebrate her milestone birthday abroad. (She turned 40, of course 🤣🥳) Although she hates having an itinerary, making reservations, or really committing to a plan of any kind, she somehow planned the perfect trip for us. Through all the “I know where I’m going” and “this building is important, I forget why,” there’s no one I’d rather be lost in Italy with. I love you to the moon and back. 🤍🌝 by @domyeli_
Memorializing the perfect day. A library from the 1700s, live music, an exhibit on fantastical creatures, and early editions of Dante while I’m reading Inferno for the first time. All the things I love, in one place. 📚 by @domyeli_
My Roman Empire: the best way to experience history is through art 🎨🤓 Gems from Rome 💎 • Seeing a Caravaggio in person for the first time • Having an old library almost entirely to myself, with live music playing as I explored its temporary exhibit on fantastical creatures (hence why I’m cheesing so hard in pic 2) • Seeing a centuries-old edition of Dante’s Inferno while reading it for the first time myself Pretty epic. How many Harry Potter-themed activities can you squeeze into one day in NYC, you ask?⚡️🗽 by @domyeli_
Always a great time with the @theglobalwin girl gang🎶👯‍♀️ In three days we talked women in tech and music, fell in love with Toronto, and of course closed the bookstore down 🤣📚 by @domyeli_

October book club x the new indie bookstore Long Dark House 🖤 We discussed Frankenstein, but I couldn’t stop talking about the Ninth House series and its finale, Dead Beat. On Frankenstein: the book is amazing and the perfect Halloween-month read. The new Netflix adaptation is also sososososo good. Now the real question: do we like Jacob Elordi better as Frankenstein’s creature or as Heathcliff in Wuthering Heights? 👀 On Dead Beat: no spoilers, but I’ll leave you with this: @lbardugo delivered the perfect ending. I’m not sure how a magical version of Yale had me rethinking my own goals and dreams, but leave it to Leigh to create dark societies that make you question your own. ☠️ by @domyeli_
End of August/September was chaotic. Mia started a new school and Emma broke her leg within 24 hours 🙃 Squeezed in Dallas, a work family reunion, Bluey, a first haircut, and two amazing books. by @domyeli_
