1st of May!
I turned 66 back the end of March, (even have a bus pass now !) officially a pensioner!
First of May has always been a poignant/sad day in our family, as , 66 years ago today my/our Father died ! (aged 31) from cancer.
He never got to meet me, as he was too ill to be moved , and I was in an incubator in another hospital, having “arrived “ two months too early. My Wonderful Mother was SO strong in spirit and inner strength coping with her loss and bringing up three boys alone, (and I think we all turned out ok ?) so , today I think of both my parents, my Father who I would have loved to have “known” and my Wonderful Mother ❤️✊🏻🙏
That’s my Dad , front row 2nd from right(his twin brother Keith, is goalie) taken in Goodison Park (Everton) (he was a blue scouser) having just won the youth cup , and in a brass band in Toronto. “Still” Miss you Dad . ! 🙏✊🏻❤️ xd by @don.bee42
