Someone said that quote a few days ago, and I didn’t let that go, especially after I DNF at the #spikecamp

I wanted to hit that 12 hours not to show off and brag about it, but to sort of prepare that much more for the 100 miles and some other things that will happen this year!!

Super soft morning run, as these guys are preparing to take on the Jack & Jill’s Downhill Marathon this Saturday, and I’m in the recovery zone!

Just got done soaking my foot in some ice water, time to slowly warm it back up and stretch it out! No running for a few days now, so it’s gym time for me! 💪👟💯

Life goes on…

I was out to run 100Miles with a TON of love and support from the family @fatboy.rc.pnw!!

Unfortunately I had a few accidents, one being the finisher. Stepped wrong and felt my toes touch my shin, at that point I started balling my eyes out, due to the mix of pain and a mix of knowing I completed a huge goal… Thank you @noahgoodwintraining for checking in on me middle of the night, I greatly appreciate that and I OWE YOU BIG TIME BROTHA!

Am I upset that I didn’t reach 100 Miles? No, I ran 50K last year and 100K this year! I take that as a HUGE accomplishment in my book, because slow and steady wins the race.

Incredible work done yesterday by the famalam as we were down a speedy runner! Still managed to pull out a victory beating our suggested time and taking that 3rd place in the sub masters division. Now I have to admit this was not easy at all. Sure some clips look good, but the amount of fallen trees we had to climb over was unreal. Then to add some miles where it was easily 8 inches to a foot of powpow ❄️was brutal!! And to see that kids up at the cabin was savage, they put some hard work to get there and looked like they were excited to see us up there! They definitely were mind blown that we were looping around Hunchback Mountain haha

We could have gave up at the start of it, but as we both have some ultras and other races this year, we had to go for it, there was no turning back. @jeffthebarber503 you da man for continuing to push yourself as things have not been easy this year. But you about to go run 200 miles like a fuggin beast! Night runs with the doof!

My PT wants me to get into a pool or hot tub and just kick my feet away as much as possible, so my hot tub is getting filled up! We also rub ice for 10 minutes, 3 times a day to the Achilles and foot, which helps the tissue relax and not get so tightened up. Then to add the hours of stretching and my legs should be better than they have been in over a year, within just a few weeks! 🤣👟✨ taken in Oregon by @don.rey.pdx
