The Sounds of China!!! My last China Archive Spam😂. Full of laughter, jamming and culture. I'm really not the kind of person that documents everything but this trip I really tried. Camera skill = low but vibe = top tier.
From singing in Chinese, English and French, to getting lost in the city with Colin, to jamming on stage, to watching Wanja play the war drums on The Great Wall of China. I would do this all over again in a heartbeat. I'm a very lucky/blessed woman for sure❤️ by @donielle_david

Just jammin' in China!!!!

A little over a year ago I had the honor of touring China for a month with the awesome @nuhussel_orchestra together with @colincorvezrich & @hsinmusical .

This was one of the many highlights of the tour for me. I experienced that music truly is the universal language that connects us all. The audience was right there with us!!! Not just for entertainment but to participate in making art. I am grateful for the gift I've been given and the people I get to experience them with. IT'S NOT EASY BUT SO WORTH IT!!! @wanja_hasselmann When's the next one!?!👀❤️❤️✨️ by @donielle_david

Story Behind The Shot

With Donielle, you can tell pretty quickly that she is not just singing.

She is telling stories.

Coming from New York and growing up in a family where music was always present, music didn’t really appear in her life at some point.

It found her.

Before stepping fully into her own world as a solo artist, Donielle came from a musical performer background. A true triple threat, moving between singing, acting and performance. Now she is taking that energy and shaping it into something deeply personal.

For her, music is more than sound.

It is release.

A safe place for thoughts, emotions and experiences to land. A way to turn everything she has been through into something that can be felt by others. Nothing goes to waste when it can become art.

R’n’B, Hip-Hop and Soul speak the language of her spirit and that is what shapes her sound right now.

And then there is the band.

Beautiful people bringing their own soulful and honest flavor into the music, shaping the sound with her and around her.

What connects all of it is storytelling.

The music, the performance, the way she moves through a stage.

Donielle wants to tell good stories.

And that is exactly what I felt while capturing this moment. ❤️📸 by @donielle_david

Back for another night of the broken beats.

Donielle’s energy on stage was pure magic, she got everyone singing along, vibing together, and the atmosphere was absolutely electric. Big props to her for bringing that incredible vibe! I first encountered her at Mojams, she was on stage with a voice that immediately caught me. I knew I had to have her in my portfolio. After a few meet-ups and chats, the moment arrived spontaneously: she performed at Robine’s gig on International Women’s Day. It was such a beautiful experience, and I’m so happy I got to be part of it and capture it all through my lens.

RECLAIM THE STAGE: Robine & Friends

This weekend we were supposed to play a show we had worked on for months. My team and I rehearsed, built the setlist, and prepared everything — until the gig got cancelled yesterday...

But we’re not letting that stop us!!!

On International Women’s Day, we’re taking matters into our own hands and creating this day ourselves. I’ll be joined by @donielle_david & @sinem.uraz and together we’re turning it into something special.

We want to build a party, celebrate music, and celebrate community!

15:00 - DOORS (juliusstrasse 1-6)

If you want to be part of it — come celebrate with us. Details are in our stories and link in bio

Massive thankyou to my team, friends, @muziqme, @superbudehamburg & @rausgegangenhamburg for making this happen so quickly!!

See you there
