Tonight I did a first! I went to a book launching 📚of one of my favorite podcasters Annie F. Downs!

Annie did a series called AFD in NYC at the time I was first considering moving from my beloved Michigan to Texas. I loved how she shared her heart! It helped me soooo much!

I shared Annie’s podcast That Sounds Fun with Frances Rodriguez before my recent “Walk the Bridge” Michigan trip, and after a listen she decided to join me up in Southlake for the launch. I was so tickled that she would join me!😁

I also met a new friend tonight. Velvet McBryde drove down from Oklahoma just to hear Annie! We soon discovered we were kindred spirits, including being realtors.

I was touched by the truths Annie and her guest host Kailey Dickerson shared. I can’t wait to dive into this book! by @donna_h_murray

In my story last night, I requested help in making a decision whether to eat the free dinner at Drury Inn (who knew they provide free dinner as well as breakfast!) or eat at Lambert’s Café, which was the whole reason why I stayed in Sikeston Missouri. It was exactly 50-50 plus one friend sent me to do both.

And that’s what I had decided to do. I checked out the food at Drury Inn, which is exactly the way I like to eat grilled chicken pasta with the creamy sauce and vegetables.

Then I went to Lambert‘s Café thinking I would get dessert. I sat down immediately, was given a hot roll then a gal came by to put apple butter on my roll and then someone else came by and gave me fried okra even before I had a plate!

The roll and apple butter satisfied my sweet tooth so I just got the plate of sides with a to go box later.

The table of teenage girls catching the rolls was so fun to watch!

My EF Go Ahead Tour of the UK was so amazing that I launched another trip!
This next one is to Italy 🇮🇹!!!

If you’ve been to Italy, I would love to know what things you did!
If you haven’t been but it’s on your travel list, what would you like to see or do?
I could always use ideas for excursions during free time!😊

Afternoon at River Legacy Park was delightful!

So glad I packed my sourdough concha made by Zoe Reyes. So good! 😋 This was a freebie that Zoe gave me yesterday at church. I definitely have to place an order for her sourdough bread & empanadas & more conchas!

For my northern friends, the temperature is 82 with slight breeze. The leaves are coming on the trees, and the smell is softly floral! 🥰
