I had such a fun week in Bradenton at the Florida Watercolor Society’s annual trade show and exhibition. Thanks to the Herrig center for the arts for putting on such a great show, and the Bradenton area conference center for hosting our convention and tradeshow. I can honestly say it was a magical week. I also had the great honor of becoming a distinguished signature member of the organization!! So honored by all the love. And a big thank you to Soon Warren for jurying me into this year‘s exhibition. #watercolor painting #FloridaWatercolorSociety #SupportTheArts #herrigcenter #bradentonareaconferencecenter by @donnamorrisonart

I’m happy to share the following news:

TAMPA, FL – Local artist Donna Morrison has been selected for the 2026 North American Watercolor International Exhibition, an international juried exhibition recognizing outstanding achievement in watercolor painting.

The exhibition attracted more than 700 entries from accomplished watercolor artists globally. After a highly competitive jury process, Morrison was selected for inclusion, making acceptance a notable professional distinction.

Morrison’s accepted work, “Flag Girl in Waiting,” will be featured alongside an exceptional collection of contemporary watercolor paintings representing a wide range of artistic styles and voices.

Founded to celebrate excellence in watercolor, North American Watercolor (NAW) is dedicated to recognizing exceptional artists while advancing the appreciation of watercolor through exhibitions, education, and community.

“Having work selected for this exhibition is an honor,” said Morrison. “I’m proud to be a member of NAW as this new society is working hard to bring watercolor to a new and exciting level of awareness.”

The 2026 North American Watercolor International Exhibition will be presented online, making the exhibition accessible to collectors, artists, and art enthusiasts around the world.
