Sneak Peek! Here’s just one of the paintings from Donne Bitner that will be available at our annual 8x10 Art Show & Fundraiser on August 8, 2026.

Donne’s award-winning work is always a crowd pleaser, so be sure to come check out her paintings with their layered energy and organic use of colors. It’s a great chance to start or add to your collection at special 8x10 prices!

In addition to Donne’s work, all our member artist are donating at least four original 8” × 10” artworks (or comparable 3-D pieces) — we anticipate you’ll have over 150 works to choose from.

Every piece starts at just $100. You can join the excitement by bidding in $25 increments, or skip the competition and choose the Buy Now option to make sure your favorite piece goes home with you.

Our friends from Flamingo Framing will be on site with a wide selection of 8” × 10” frames for purchase — and they’ll frame your artwork for free, so you can leave with a ready-to-hang masterpiece.

This year’s sale is part of our year-long celebration of 40 Years of Creativity. Since 1986, when George and Marty Whipple founded McRae Art Studios, our artist collective has been a place where professional artists create, grow, and enrich the Central Florida community.

We’ll even have a few anniversary surprises in store.

Bring a friend, discover a new favorite artist, and experience why the 8x10 Sale has become one of Orlando’s most anticipated art events.

Our Spring Open House on April 25th from 6-9pm kicks-off a yearlong celebration of McRae Art Studios’ 40th anniversary.

As the oldest artist collective in Central Florida, McRae is home to some of the Orlando area’s most celebrated artists.

Stay tuned to our feed as we honor the legacy of founders George & Marty Whipple, who wanted to see working artists flourish with affordable studio space, by revealing self-portraits of our current members and sharing their thoughts about McRae.

Donne Bitner, an award-winning abstract acrylic and watercolor painter, shared these personal reflections about what McRae means to her:

“McRae is my home away from home! My refuge, my favorite place, my art studio and gathering place for friends.”

Come see Donne’s self-portrait and all the Faces of McRae, as well as fresh artwork in our galleries and in the artists’ open studios. Connect with the artists and enjoy an evening of fun & creativity. Bring some friends!

I was lucky to get this Grady Kimsey sculpture years ago at an auction. I had admired his work and never thought I could own one until an auction where I stood in front of it blocking it from other buyers! by @donnebitner

A little SNEAK PEEK for you of the amazing new artwork that you can expect to see at McRae Art Studios’ 2025 Spring Open House on April 12th, 6-9pm.

In addition to her beloved large-scale acrylic and mixed media paintings — like the 36” x 36” piece, Red Destiny, shown above — Donne is excited to showcase some new smaller works in oil pastels. You don’t want to miss seeing these gems in person!

Our Spring Open House is a great chance to engage with the 22 artists who make up McRae Art Studios — the oldest and largest artist collective in Central Florida. You will be able to see and shop for fresh artwork in many styles and mediums in our two galleries and the working studios where our artists create and innovate.

Please plan on joining us for a night of art, fun, inspiration, and the opportunity to start or add to your art collection. Plus, you can feel good about supporting the local arts community!
