Wrapping up an incredible 10U season as an 8U player competing in 10U, and I couldn’t be prouder of this journey.

The stats tell a little of the story, but they don’t show the hours of hard work, extra reps, and dedication when no one is watching. I love the training and the journey just as much as the competition and wins!

To my coaches and trainers, thank you for challenging me, believing in me, and helping me grow. To my teammates, thank you for the friendships, the support, and the memories. We push each other, celebrate each other, and grow together because success is a team effort.

I’m so grateful for last season and everyone who has been part of it. Now I’m excited to be playing 12U and I’m ready to compete, make an impact, and prove that hard work speaks louder than age. 💪🏽🥎

Damn Rick!!! Still can’t believe we can’t jump on our calls with Ghadimi and cut up on each other! That’s just the appetizer of our friendship. Considering we go way back almost 4 decades of friendship. From High school classmates really kicking it heavy leading into our senior year. To graduating in that amazing class of 92 IYKYK!!! Miramar superstars and brothers in every way that mattered.

Although we didn’t have to talk every day we were close. That’s just the kind of friendship we had.

Just a little walk down memory lane. I remember pulling up to some parties and in your grey whip pumping the ish out of Main Source- “Looking At The Front Door” or pulling up to reggae parties rocking any thing on the “Big It Up Riddim” (((Lawd a Mercy)))

You weren’t just my close bredeeren. You were the godfather to my first daughter, a groomsman in my wedding, a part of my family, and one of those rare people who could walk into a room and instantly make it better. Ask anybody! Then the two of us together forget about it, instant classic and too much good humor.

However, Rick had an infectious way of making people laugh. Not to mention joke his way out of any serious situation. You were the life of the party, completely unapologetically Ricky aka Ganz Johnson. 1992 Miramar High School Homecoming King! And yes the tie was way too skinny dawg.

Yes your passing hurts all of us who had the privilege of knowing and loving you. We’ve lost your presence, but we will never lose your memory and the decades of stories and all those laughs!

So as much as we mourn you, we’re going to celebrate you. I’m going to make sure we get the boys together and get those impromptu freestyle cyphers going again.

Rest easy, my Yute!

SWING FOR A CAUSE

The National Home Run Derby Florida State Qualifier is coming to Weston Regional Park on Monday, July 27, and this year we’re playing for something even bigger than baseball.

We’re proud to introduce Home Runs for Venezuela.

Every home run hit during the event can be sponsored, with proceeds helping provide relief to the families affected by the devastating earthquake in Venezuela.

Compete for your chance to advance to the National Home Run Derby State Championship.

Make every swing count by helping those who need it most.

Whether you’re a player, parent, sponsor, or baseball fan, you can make a difference. Sponsor a player, cheer on the athletes, and join us as we use the game we love to bring hope to others.
