Eight weeks ago, I could barely run 1 mile. I weighed 215 lbs, , could barely hit a mile and every run felt like a battle.

Today I’m 200 lbs and just ran 14 miles at an 8:30 pace.

But this was never just about losing weight or running faster.

It’s about finding out who I am when it gets uncomfortable. When the motivation wears off. When nobody is watching. When keeping the promise I made to myself gets hard.

Eight weeks of showing up.
Eight weeks of choosing discipline.
Eight weeks of proving to myself that the limits I believed in weren’t real.

I’m not chasing perfection. I’m chasing the man I know I’m capable of becoming.

Started with 1 mile.

Now 14.

And I’m just getting started. 🏃🏽‍♂️💪🏽

Don’t talk yourself out of a goal you haven’t even tried yet. 💯

Six weeks ago, I started with ONE mile. Today, I ran my first TEN. 🏃‍♂️🔥

My longest run before today was seven. But earlier this week, I made myself a promise: I was hitting 10 by Sunday.

Went to bed thinking about it. Woke up determined. Finished faster than I expected.

Those first miles mattered. Every time I showed up, I built a little more endurance—and a little more belief in myself.

Whatever your “10 miles” is, start working toward it. Start small. Keep showing up. Give yourself a chance to find out what you’re capable of.

A promise to yourself deserves to be kept. 🤝
