It’s Time 👸🏽🧕🏽👑

19 years in the making, 12 of those with my mom, the first MonaLesa, physically by my side.

I got the call to compete for Miss USA and won Miss New Hampshire USA 2025 just 3 weeks before the national competition. It wasn’t easy doing it alone, and I deeply missed my mom’s support, but I got it done. Many worried about me having only a few weeks to prepare, but the truth is, I’ve been training for this moment since I was 16.

Today is the Preliminary Competition! The Miss USA pageant officially starts today, and I am so ready to rock that stage.

My director @ewaldproductions has been incredibly supportive. @preparetowin has me ready to win in all areas of competition. @theginamellish taught me a new turn, @stsnation has my body stage-fit, @pageantsmart and my mock interview team @carlitos720 @ravenrochelleramseyy @luluorangeinc @mockwithme and more have prepared me for any question that comes my way. And, after a pep talk from my first-ever coach @mrs.a_studioa , that stage is mine❗️

Shoutout to @pageantprep for polishing me back up after 10 years away from the stage, and to my blessing from God, my cosmetic sponsor and walking practice partner @jvimodel

I was worried about preparing without my mom, but people have literally come out of the woodwork to help me. Many volunteering their time and I’m so grateful.

God has opened a previously closed door (twice), allowing me to pursue my dream. And thanks to the outpouring of love and support, I am ready.

FYI: this (cover) photoshoot was just Tuesday in Houston. @grantfoto and @teamflawless.co work is so impeccable I didn’t even need to wait on the retouches. Grant captured me so well, this is pretty much the raw file. Don’t walk, RUN to book your shoot with him.
And Shoutout to @carlosvelezstudios & @alileeglam for my voting headshot that’s has taken my face around the world, literally! taken in Miss USA by @dontcallmemona

When I was 18 or 19, my mom and I went to an event where a man was making street signs with everyone’s name. When it was my turn, he asked what to write. I paused and said, “Miss USA.”

For years, that little sign sat in my old room collecting dust. I’d forgotten about it… until now.

Today, as Miss New Hampshire USA 2025, after 19 years on this journey and 10 away, I am competing for the title of Miss USA. My dream is alive again! And, I AM READY! 👸🏽🧕🏽👑

If you ever feel like your dreams are impossible, just look at my life. It can happen for you, just keep pushing and believing 🫂 ✨ taken in Miss USA by @dontcallmemona

I cannot put into words what it feels like to have a dream and chase it. Then the dream is no longer a reality, completely gone, will never happen for you, you’re done. The heartbreak, the what ifs… Then everything changes and the dream is a reality again, it’s attainable.

At 36, I’m back on the road to Miss USA and competing for Miss New York USA 2025! It literally still feels like a dream!

I’ve never wanted something so bad.
I’ve never worked so hard.
I’ve never had this much support.
I’m ready.
It’s my turn.

No matter what comes of the rest of my life, I WAS HERE. God chose me to make history.

MonaLesa Diamond Lare’a Brackett, Miss New Hampshire USA 2025.

The first Hijabi to place in the Top 5 at a USA state pageant. The first Hijabi State Titleholder. The first Hijabi to compete for Miss USA. The 6th finalist placement for New Hampshire at Miss USA since 1952.

I have been told that life is about what you do with the dash between your birth date and your death date. I find it no different for the reign of a titleholder. For me, September 29, 2025 to June 30, 2026.

For 275 days I was blessed to reign, and I REIGNED.

It has been an honor to spread my platform of Representing the Unrepresented & Serving the Underserved, serving communities that had never before been visited by a queen.

I believe in God, and I believe God works through people. @officialthombrodeur , you gave me the ball and I balled. @preparetowin , thank you for the alley oop. From Miss New York USA to Miss New Hampshire USA to the Miss USA stage, thank you.

@studioadancemodelingetiquette , you got me at 19 and polished me into a queen. After nearly two decades, we finally made it to Miss USA.

Thank you @herworldkk , @golden.gabrielle , @urbanmodesty1 , @rachelallan , @fhatimahs__obsession , @afren, @alanwheeleragency , @akasorority1908 , @lindagathright , @nashuanaacp, Jodie, Michael, Rhonda, and Ms. Georges.

To the state of New Hampshire, thank you for allowing me to live my dream.

To every child I met, thank you for embracing me. Your faith in me pushes me to become who you already believe I am.

To everyone who invited me to serve and supported me, thank you.

To my mother and father, thank you. Though I only have my father here physically, I know I got here because of my mother’s prayers. This entire year has been a miracle.

To Auntie Bertha, I couldn’t have made it to Miss USA without you. Thank you.

To @sammlabonne , congratulations! I knew it would be you. I can’t wait to crown you and watch you serve New Hampshire and SERVE at Miss USA. I’m here for you.

As Salaam Alaikum 👸🏽🧕🏽👑

Today is my 37th birthday, and as God would have it, it is also the last day of my reign as Miss New Hampshire USA.

Before I take this sash and crown off for the last time and this title belongs to someone else, I had to take the final picture of my reign with my mother, the first MonaLesa. The MonaLesa.

I thank her for my name.

I thank her for believing in me and supporting me in everything, no matter how much time it took, how much it cost, or all of the times we lost and kept coming back.

I thank her for teaching me to believe in myself and believe that anything is possible, even miracles. Mustard Seed Faith…

I thank her for all of her prayers. They’re still carrying me through.

From our first pageant in 2006… Almost 20 years later this picture of us looks different than I imagined, but we finally did it.

Happy Birthday to me. And, congratulations on a beautiful and impactful reign. 👸🏽🧕🏽👑

Thank God for choosing me to make history and allowing me to see another year of life.

I’m 37 🤯

FYI, my mom’s year of birth is not on her headstone because she was forever 39. My father is alive but already on the headstone because….. it’s a Brackett thing 🤷🏽‍♀️… but she made it clear that if he went first we were NOT to put her on a headstone while she still was alive 😂 taken in 𝓗𝓮𝓪𝓿𝓮𝓷. by @dontcallmemona

It was an absolute pleasure and honor to serve as the Commencement Guest Speaker for the IS 392 8th Grade Graduation and encourage these incredible students as they prepare for their transition to high school.

But the greatest honor came when I learned that I was invited to speak because the graduates themselves VOTED for me. The children wanted me‼️ 😩🥹❤️

If my makeup hadn’t been so perfect, I would have cried.

In that moment it was solidified, the Miss New Hampshire USA Kindness Tour had accomplished exactly what it was designed to do: make a meaningful impact on the lives of others.

Thank you, IS 392, for trusting me with such a special moment. Congratulations, Class of 2026!

The Miss New Hampshire USA Kindness Tour is spreading love across New England with a stop in Boston! ❤️👑

Not sure why Instagram decided to make my photos blurry… and I’m definitely not sure why I missed every single shot I took. 🤦🏽‍♀️🏀 But here we are!

A special thank you to my little rebounder who worked so hard with those passes and never lost faith that I would eventually make one. 😩😂 I did not… we’ll blame the rims lol

Thank you to the Daddy & Me Literacy Program @daddyandmeboston for inviting me to Family Fun Day, and a special shoutout to @mightymighty_etapi for helping make such a wonderful event possible.

Seeing families come together for a day filled with fun, laughter, learning, and community was truly beautiful.

Happy Juneteenth ‼️

Every stop is becoming my favorite stop on my Miss New Hampshire USA Kindness Tour. 👸🏽🧕🏽👑

Love and kindness are understatements when it comes to how warmly I was welcomed by the staff, members, and students at the @ymcaofgreaternashua . It felt like everyone there was genuinely happy and walking around with permanent smiles on their faces.

And my sweetest unique friend, who took a little while to warm up to me, ended up giving me a gift and hugged me for so long when it was time to go that I literally did not want to leave the classroom. 🥹🥹

People often think the crown is the blessing, but the real blessing is the people I have met along this journey and the love shared.

Thank you to @lindagathright and my friends at the @nashuanaacp for making this special day possible.

As my reign comes to an end, I am still dedicated to finishing strong in impact and service. Please click the link in my bio to support. ✨

Nothing feels better than this ✨👑

The Miss New Hampshire USA has come to Boston!

Special thank you to my fellow @nar_1908 New England Sorors of @psiomegaaka for your gracious invitation. Cotillions are one of my favorite events. It’s such a blessing to witness our children transition into adulthood, and the $32,000 in scholarships awarded will certainly help them on their journey.

Special thank you to @rachelallan for this evening’s gown.

And shoutout to the soccer mom who stopped me in the lobby and said, “If you’re not scared of soccer players, please take a picture with them!” 😂⚽️

This reign continues to show me that my biggest blessing in life is actually being who children think I am. Because why would they see me in a crown, sash, gown, and heels and insist that I shoot hoops? 😩 And after I made the first shot, they didn’t stop… I had to keep going. 😂😂😂

There’s something about children believing in me and cheering me on that makes anything feel possible. But, I did decline when the best player there challenged me to one on one… 🙅🏽‍♀️🙅🏽‍♀️

The Nashua, NH PAL was easily one of my favorite stops on my Miss New Hampshire USA Kindness Tour. Usually an adult chaperones me around during visits, but these babies took over. They didn’t know I was coming, but once I made my shots (I think that was my initiation 😂), they had a full agenda of where I needed to go and what we needed to do.

These were the most comical children ever. At the restaurant, I almost had to call the health department because the cooks were arguing over the menu, the servers were serving my food with their bare hands, and somehow I ended up babysitting one of the waitress’s horse. 🤦🏾‍♀️ But I let it slide when they served me a lobster burger and shrimp tacos since they didn’t have halal meat.

Among the million initiation questions they asked, they learned that boxing 🥊 is my favorite sport (I’m a little rusty 🤦🏽‍♀️) took me to their boxing gym.

The hardest part of visits with children is always at the end when they ask, “When are you coming back?” I pray my successor is a service-based queen who makes the effort to spend time with children during her reign because seeing queens helps young girls believe they can become queens too. 👑

Thank you to @nashuapal for having me, and thank you to my friends at @nashuanaacp for helping make this visit possible.

Special thank you to @urbanmodesty1 for my Miss New Hampshire USA Kindness Tour wardrobe! DM me for 20% off.

And finally, thank you to all of my sponsors who make it possible for me to travel and serve. Please click the link in my bio to support. ❤️

A day I will never forget. ✨

Visiting the New Hampshire State House as Miss New Hampshire USA was truly surreal. To walk the halls of the state government and learn the history of so many incredible leaders was an absolute honor.

A special thank you to my friends @nashuanaacp , @lindagathright, and Michael Atkins, Esq for helping make today possible, and to my amazing tour guide Mr. Nich for such a warm and memorable experience.

Governor Kelly Ayotte @kelly4nh absolutely took my breath away. She was so gracious, welcoming, and kind.

It continues to be one of the greatest blessings of my life to serve as Miss New Hampshire USA. 👸🏽🧕🏽👑
