I know I’m a little late to the Mother’s Day party, but today did not go as planned (I literally woke up locked in my room and needed help from my roommate to get out).

Today was hard and I let my depression get the best of me. I originally planned this big post and go through the picture boxes to pull up some photos and scan them onto my phone. Yeah that didn’t happen. After I maneuvered out of my room and got to go pee, I just went back to sleep, despite being wide awake. I went to church, with just five minutes to spare until service (as a grandkid of a preacher I was taught that this is a big no-no). I then promptly came home and napped for two hours instead of doing my project.

When I finally woke up, I was panicked, worried about the fact that I didn’t get Mama anything for Mother’s Day. Then I remembered.

Hey, long time no see. Approximately 3 years, actually. Thought I’d give an overall life update before I just started posting again (plan to focus mostly on books, cause everything else has me so tired, but you never know). Last we spoke, I was working at KRON4, I quit working there back in 2025. I then started working for an Indigenous non-profit in San Francisco, but left back in October. Sadly, in the summer of 2025, my mama’s health started to decline and at a rapid pace after her battle with lung cancer. She passed October 18th, three days after I lost my job. I have since been unemployed but have volunteered my leftover time at local churches by rebuilding and managing their websites, social media and running production for sermons. Happy heavenly birthday Mama. I originally had a huge beautiful post in my head planned out. I don’t know how people do this. Spent a majority of the day so far in bed, only getting up to feed Pigs. It also marks the one year anniversary of when I spoke to you last. I want to honor you online but I can barely stop crying long enough to type out what I have here. I just don’t know what to do. I miss you Mama. Why can’t you come back? You always came back when I asked you before. It’s cruel that you can’t come back one last time. I know I’m 30 now and shouldn’t be crying about missing my Mama, let alone admit to it online, but I miss my Mama. I want my Mama. by @dontwritedown

Oh hey it was my birthday and I forgot to post anything about it besides a Bo Burnham meme, so scroll if you want to see my birthday that somehow turned into a birthday week celebration. Here we see my favorite, a PLAIN cheesecake with a candle. Fun fact: I had to blow out the candle three times! (Means I got three wishes right? They kept saying it was 3 for the three decades I was celebrating)!

The past few weeks I kept pulling Irish goodbyes, so for the birthday celebration they LITERALLY attached a balloon to me to keep track of me.

Miss @linnea.pedersen took me to Cheesecake Factory where we ordered a mojito and an old fashioned. Towards the end of the meal we both realized that we had gone through three glasses of water before the alcoholic drinks were even half way finished. (Was not on purpose).

I am not allowed to pick out my own cheesecake at Cheesecake Factory because I always get plain cheesecake. This is Snickers Cheesecake.

And Linnea and I’s birthdays are only a few days away from each other. Here we were chilling on the Marine Headlands after her birthday party.

Another trip in the books! Had a fun time at #sixflagsdiscoverykingdom on Saturday. From roller coasters, to checking out the animals, and of course the butterflies (we stayed in there until they started to kick people out. I just found my Mama’s engagement ring that I thought I lost back in 2022 and was resentful about it. Somehow, it survived not only a move across the country but two major moves in California and I just now found it! I don’t know how to feel and I don’t know how it went so long without discovery. by @dontwritedown

Happy birthday to Princess Piglet Elizabeth Marie Oppossum Printup! Can you believe that this little girl, this baby, is only 15 years old? Mama used to say she was slowly going orange as she got older and I didn’t see it, but I now notice that her color is fading and going slightly orange.
