"Flag One" is now flying at the Gypsum Canyon site: future home of the Orange County Veterans Cemetery. We first unfurled the 60'x30' flag last year with #Veterans and the bipartisan coalition I led to make Anaheim Hills the official location for a dignified cemetery. The 100-foot flagpole towers over the 91 freeway, for all travelers to see. Next steps to complete the cemetery — the CalVet Study, which the Board of Supervisors allocated $20 million to the project.

A local #VeteransCemetery would not be possible without the excellent work of @quirksilva65th, and Nick Berardino, President of the Veterans Alliance of Orange County. Thank you both.

I also want to thank a few others that made the day special:
Elaine Brattain, Chaplain of the American Gold Star Mothers for leading the Invocation, Bobby McDonald, Buffalo Soldier, for leading the Pledge of Allegiance, Bill Cook, Chairman of the OC Veterans Memorial Park Foundation, and of course all my colleagues at the Board of Supervisors. Most importantly, I want to thank our Veterans for their patience, persistence, and the long fight for an eternal resting place.

I recently hosted a sandbag, wattle & rice straw bale giveaway event in the Third District to provide more resources to our residents for the upcoming rainy season.

Throughout the event, we distributed approximately 1,404 sandbags, 104 wattles, and 37 rice straw bales, all of which will go a long way to protect properties from storm related damage.

Thank you to @ocpublicworks for partnering with my office to put this giveaway event together, and providing these incredible resources to our canyon communities. by @donwagnerca

My Field Representative, Pat Buttress, joined the @cityofyorbalinda City Council meeting, where she presented certificates of recognition to the players and coaches of the @easthillsll 10U All-Stars.

Congratulations to these young athletes for their hard work! by @donwagnerca

Happy All Saints Day and All Souls Day to all the Christian faithful.

On Nov. 1, we honor all the Saints of the Church known and unknown.

On Nov. 2, we honor the souls of the faithful departed.

Wishing all who celebrate a safe and spiritually uplifting Allhallowtide. by @donwagnerca

From all of us at District Three, we wish you a happy and safe Halloween! by @donwagnerca

My District Director, Scott Voigts, was brave enough to venture into OC Parks’ Heritage Hill Historical Park in Lake Forest!

For years now the two weekends before Halloween, Heritage Hill has been transformed into a Halloween wonderland, welcoming thousands of visitors for a spooky and unforgettable experience. This year, Scott joined thousands Orange County residents who ventured into the park after dark to enjoy the festivities!

It was an amazing time and a wonderful way to get into the Halloween spirit!

Be sure to watch the @ocparks website for next year’s event announcement. It’s an experience you won’t want to miss!

A special thanks to OC Parks for all their hard work in putting together this special event for the community!

Happy Halloween! by @donwagnerca

My Policy Advisor, George Boutros, represented my office at a town hall held at the Library of the Canyons.

National Weather Service representatives presented this winter's El Niño forecast, while OC Public Works outlined what the County is doing to prepare for the winter storm season.

Attendees also heard updates from AT&T and Southern California Edison.

A big thanks to community leader Joanne Hubble for putting together this event for our canyons community as we face the El Niño season. by @donwagnerca

I attended a reception hosted by the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC), Orange County Chapter, which represents private engineering and land surveying firms throughout the region.

The chapter actively supports the local industry by hosting speaker luncheons, golf tournaments, and the annual Engineering Excellence Awards, as well as providing scholarships to undergraduate and graduate engineering students.

Thank you to ACEC for hosting this event celebrating our engineers and land surveyors! by @donwagnerca

I recently spoke to the Political Science Pre-Law Club at Orange Coast College.

After sharing my journey through law school and my transition into the legal field, I found it incredibly rewarding to connect with the next generation of future attorneys.

Best of luck to all these students in their academic and career pursuits! by @donwagnerca

My Field Representative, Pat Buttress, presented a certificate of recognition to Ultracold Storage Solutions at its ribbon cutting in Anaheim.

This company exists to protect the irreplaceable: the vaccines, biologics, cell lines, research samples, and materials our customers can’t simply reorder.

They sell, install and service the ultra-low temperature freezers and refrigeration that keep the above listed work safe.

Congratulations on your ribbon cutting! by @donwagnerca
