Numero Guestlist: Edy Modica NYC’s rising comedian/actress Edy Modica, who you may know from her performance on the Emmy Nominated series Jury Duty or from her brand new stand-up special “I’m Just Like You (And It Sucks),” joins the Numero Group guest list. Clocking in just under an hour, this eclectic mix of spiritual soul, cosmic country, and turn-of-the-millennium teen pop is the perfect playlist to soundtrack all your in-transit daydreams. “Promises” - X-Cetra X-Cetra is what I thought I was going to be doing at middle school sleepovers...creating beautiful music that speaks volumes through its naive simplicity with my girlies. What we actually ended up doing was throwing cheese out of my apartment window and binging donut holes. Somehow the girls of X-Cetra figured out how to do it right! “I’m Still Here” - The Notations I first heard this song on a playlist of Kali Uchis samples that my friend made for me. It remains one of the most stuck in my head, day dream of your first dance at your wedding, imagine you’re in a music video looking straight to camera type songs in my rolodex. “Dreamdate” - Ida Dreamdate was released in 1997 and knowing that and looking at the album cover makes me long to be 25 in the 90s...stepping on crispy leaves, fall’s electricity in the air, hugging my lover in a hoodie, holding hands, thinking times were simpler... “Eternal Life” - Shira Small I mean...is there a more universal attempt at connecting us through song??? “We Are the World” wishes it was this song but this song doesn’t even need such blatant phrasing to make you feel just that...wow <3 “Like a Ship” - Pastor T.L. Barrett and the Youth for Christ Choir I KNOW WE CAN TAKE IT....JUST LIKE A SHIP....WITHOUT A SAIL....dead ass YES!!!! this song is HOPE!!! Perfect end to a playlist in my opinion...feels like it goes on forever and ever and ever and ever....<3333 by @doodiehole
