Oh, What a Difference ONE year makes!!!❤️🐾❤️🐾❤️🐾

Recently I was asked what the highlight of my summer was, and without hesitation I exclaimed… “Watching my SnuggleBears serve alongside of me!”🥹
I watched how my Boys offered comfort, care, and compassion to everyone we have encountered!!!
Yes, each in their own way revealed unconditional love contained in their four, fluffy paws almost effortlessly!!!
And their presence unlocks something that the mere human heart cannot seem to touch.

Moose was invited to Welcome Students back to Michigan State with MSU Young Life… He was a HIT!🐾💚🤍
A boy stood in line & said he only wanted a picture with the dog.
Moose took his spot, and smiled, that Moosey smile that truly makes him adorable & so safe.
The student lingered, and I felt prompted to ask if he had a dog… In front of the line waiting to take their photo with Moose, YES LINE, he responded teary and looking off into the distance, “I did, but my dog unexpectedly died yesterday, and he looked a lot like this dog.”
My heart broke.
His heart was broken.
If we were only there that day for him... An ounce of comfort extended to a student, away from home, who lost his companion & constant of unconditional love.

How GRATEFUL I am…
This summer Teen Moms RAN to Messi, strollers and all, as they yelled across Timber Wolf’s sidewalks, “Can we pet your dog?”
He THRIVED at Young Lives Camp, extending laughs & presence to over 80 teen moms and their babies!💕
Mully learned & listened so well at Clearwater to hundreds of high schoolers!
He was a Fluffy Friend to SO many, and I cried several times watching him extend such goodness!
And Moose started his new decade, YES, he is 10, by shining at a dog show in an Assisted Living Home where he won “Audience Favorite!” HAHA, a Hilarious Only God Story!
He will begin serving at In-House Hospice in October with me!!!

As I shift to building more ministry at Home ALL Three Boys will also join me greeting at New Hope Grief Center, in Spiritual Direction, and at our Capernaum Aged Out Bible Study!!!
Loving Our Neighbors & Making New Friends… by simply being WONDERFULLY them!

Officially Graduated with my Masters in Spiritual Formation from @gordonconwell Theological Seminary!!!✨🙌❤️

Did you know Jesus asked 211 questions that are recorded in Scripture?
I am reminded once more that our God is a God who starts with curiosity, leads in tender kindness, and extends unbelievable compassion.💕
Oh how I long to be like Him.
I am leaving this weekend, in what one Professor called a Capstone Moment, aware of the dream God is stirring in me, wondering what leading with compassion & kindness could offer the world I walk in, and so truly TRULY THANKFUL for these last 4 years.

Yes, this journey took 4 years AND was only possible by Nancy Bishop.❤️
Nancy was a donor and a friend. She passed away from Covid early in 2020, and in her UNBELIEVABLE generosity she left a Legacy Gift that made my Seminary Dream possible!!! Yes, only because of Nancy’s giving & her faithfulness, even in her death, was I able to pursue this degree. (I wrote about Nancy in a post below.). She was so Joy-Filled & I am praying today made her proud.💕

This trip was special not only because I delighted in watching my Dad soak up the magic of Fenway.
But also because @dana_molly attended & is a huge reason this is my life… she discipled me when we were in high school (before I knew what that word meant!) Remember, you can be ANY age and change someone’s life!!!
And because my Mom, Sister & Dearest Friend Chrissy graciously offered their presence & support.❤️❤️❤️

And these faces represent countless others who have extended such care for me, encouragement, and utter love. It is good to walk together!!!✨
And I am one who is deeply blessed to not go alone!

Yes, we have a new pup, who is so sweet!
His name is Mulberry (Mully) — such a treat!!!

While Rudolph is this year’s card hero helping guide Santa’s sleigh,
Messi was the shoot’s MVP as he lastingly obeyed the command, STAY!

Moose’s hat certainly was a little too big,
But to his glee, I didn’t make him wear a wig!

Like the light of Rudolph’s nose that shown brightly amid the snow,
I trust your Yuletide expressions will make multitudes glow!

The true gift of this season is a God who comes near;
Did you know He is always extending a listening ear?

He is our Hope, and He longs to Help if ever there is a fuss,
By offering unconditional LOVE….. WOW, what a HUGE Plus!

Whether you spend the Holidays at home, afar, or even on an isthmus,
We wish you a Most Blessed and Bountiful Christmas!!!

Welcome to the Jolly Jenney FamJam @jdmisk!!!

And the redeeming reminder of “Pink Pony Club” will echo in my heart for the rest of time.
It’s funny that when it started playing as the last number of the night… an anthem of giggles erupted from my nieces— they LOVE this song.
And simultaneously tears started gathering for me.

Yes, maybe it was the extravagance of love on display.
The lights, drinks, dancing & laughter filling a room with Allison & Jarett’s favorite people; people who will forever hold them and help them in their new life together.
And maybe it was the exhaustion of an amazing day filled with makeup and dance moves!

For me, it was the realization that while I know no family is perfect, this weekend will be etched, as a reminder of the hard work on all sides to stand together on this wonderful Wedding Day!

If we are honest, family can be chaotic and a tad bit complicated to navigate.
Maybe because they have seen the worst in us, maybe it is the strange knowing that we didn’t choose one another, or maybe just the willingness to recognize we came from the same formed years together, but in freedom will not all grow to be the exact same.

As “Pink Pony Club” started I realized we would have never imagined this unfolding goodness…
Allison waiting patiently for her person, who would love her with the proper amount of giggles & care!

Welcoming 7 littles into the Family, and watching as they bring healing & a wholeness to each of us by the perfection of their presence in our Jolly FamJam.

All of us doing our own work of forgiveness, offering and inviting to allow one another to grow up, to grow into our purpose, and to continue to grow alongside one another.

A love for each other wrapped now in generations of memories & moments.

And in the wonder of each new chapter, longing for Jesus to weave & work through it all.✨

Yes, Unfolding Goodness was etched in an unlikely song, but for me is the reminder of what Family can be…
Carved in commitment is the GIFT of TOGETHER!

Meet Mulberry!!!❤️🐾🎉
A Big SURPRISE to ME, but apparently not to anyone else!!!🤣

My friend @emma_mcpherson called and told me about a puppy that had been returned… a family gave him back!!! I talked to her briefly, and then didn’t call her back for a week!
Yes, a WEEK!😆
“I don’t need a puppy,” I kept thinking, and my Mom affirmed, “SHE DID NOT” need a puppy!!! She also won’t let me buy a minivan, but that’s another story!😆

Emma told me to just come and meet him…
Well, Bob Dylan, his former name, was simply the BEST!!!
I was smitten as he Snuggled… and yes he is a TRUE SNUGGLEBEAR, and now you know the only thing I REALLY look for in a dog!!!🤣
And while I knew what having 3 again meant, I went to church uncertain, and truly believe the Lord gave me his name, (I’ll explain below).
So after a trial, crying at a gas station & to Emma, God’s goodness, & telling my Mom about how much I LOVED him… AND how surprising this all was… Mully has officially joined our Wuggle Family!!!❤️🐾❤️🐾❤️🐾

He, like Messi, is a rehome, but only 13 weeks old! I haven’t had a puppy in 9 years… Oh Boy!!!

While Mulberry, I will call him Mully, looks a little different than my other Boys he is still a Doodle!!! He is a Sheepadoodle, half an old English Sheepdog and half a Poodle!

I have had an Ma, Mi, Mo, Me, and was thinking this would be the end of M names, but as I sat in church asking God to make it clear to me I thought about the Mulberry Tree in Luke 17:6!
I feel like I am in a “mustard seed sized faith tell the Mulberry Tree” season, and while this is a HUGE surprise to me I am grateful Mully will be the reminder that God KNOWS exactly what I need, that I can BELIEVE for Big THINGS, and that God still brings the best unconditional love in 4 paws & lots of fluff!

My sister asked if having a puppy was healing, and as I drove home I thought, for how chaotic this world is, having these 3 reminds me that love is presence, grace is given, and a hug can heal!❤️

I miss Mason & Milo more than I have words for most days… Yet I know the foundation they established remains in this little, floofy family... for that I still see them everywhere!

Oh Lord, that you might permeate every part of our lives!!!❤️✨
Yes, that we might know JOY even in the midst of our pain, and truly LIVE because of His Goodness and Love for us!!!

This was part of a sermon I preached at @wardchurch in March. It was towards the end, and in the beginning of this video I am finishing a quote I love by Tim Keller.
We listen to every other voice around us, all while the God of the Universe longs to guide us into the MORE He has for you and for me!!!
And I would LOVE to continue this conversation with YOU this Fall!!!

A little salt water, sunshine, and snuggles!!!🏖️☀️🥰

I already miss hearing a mix of Hey Auntie Kels, Stop It, Luh You, Hold You, Nooooo, Help Me, Pleasssse, and the now FAMOUS “Welcome to Camp Watercolor!”

I got to join my younger brother and his family this week in 30A!!! It was pure delight!✨
A perfect mix of naps, conversations, swimming, golf cart rides, laughter, shows, more swimming, coffee, water slides, tic-tac-toe, bottles, ice cream, a little more swimming, a few tears from our littles as they learn & grow, and of course a few tears from me as we were leaving!!!🥹❤️

There is a tender gift in being invited to fold into a family…
An invitation into the goodness of meltdowns and hugs is only an honor.
Watching my brother and sister-in-law offer endless snacks, cherished safety in their presence, soooooo much FUN & the sweetness of being held to each of their little ones is not only witnessing sacrifice, but also seeing a solid foundation of family being formed!!!
A foundation that will be where the roots of unconditional love, truth, Jesus, laughter & the goodness of together will help my nieces and nephews become the people God intended them to be in this world!!!
This week I was honored to watch this foundation form a little more…
@brycejenney & @madelinejenney you are doing the GREATEST job with these little hearts & with one another.💙🩷🩷💙
