She spent weeks living in a field. Somewhere out there, another dog is still waiting for someone to save them. 💔 Meet Tula. 🥹❤️ At just 1 year old, Tula was found living in a field on the outskirts of town, where she had been surviving for weeks. Her beautiful curls were severely matted, and she was missing out on the safety, comfort, and love every dog deserves. But look at her now. ❤️ Today, Tula is a happy, goofy, 35-pound Poodle mix who loves playing with other dogs, going on walks, and being close to her people. She’s still learning how to feel safe and settle into her new life. But thanks to her foster family, she has a warm bed, a full belly, and people who are showing her what it means to be loved. And that’s what makes this so heartbreaking. Because Tula isn’t the only one. 💔 There are so many dogs just like her still out there. Dogs surviving on the streets. Dogs waiting in overcrowded shelters. Dogs who may never get their second chance simply because there’s nowhere for them to go. We want to save them. We really do. But without foster homes, we can’t. Someone opened their home for Tula, and her entire world changed. UPDATE HE IS SAFE AND IN A FOSTER HOME!! Yesterday was National Black Dog Day. 🖤 Today, one black dog desperately needs someone to notice him. His name is Doobie, and he is running out of time. 🚨 URGENT DFW FOSTER NEEDED 🚨 Doobie is an 11-month-old, 70-pound German Shepherd/Poodle mix sitting in an overcrowded rural shelter. They are out of space, dogs are being doubled up in kennels, and difficult decisions may have to be made. Black dogs can be easy to overlook in crowded shelters. Their dark coats can disappear into dim kennels and make it harder for them to stand out in photos. So please, look at Doobie. 🖤 He’s loving, bouncy, eager to please and just wants attention and someone to love him. And he’s already been failed once. His previous owner brought him to the shelter and claimed he was a stray. He wasn’t.
