Nellie one of our future mama’s just finished up a month of training with Jeff @greystonek9 and let me tell you it was worth every penny!!! Cookie will be leaving for a month on Sunday and I cant wait to see his results when he gets back. (Breeders don’t worry if Cookie is needed for a breeding during this month I can easily go pick him up. ☺️) taken in Alpharetta, Georgia by @doodlesofbuckhead

A little peek into why we chose Oakley. 🖤🤎🤍

If you’re familiar with Bernedoodles, you may recognize the handsome guy in this photo — Bogey, Oakley’s dad. 😍

That classic black, copper + white traditional tri-color is exactly the direction we hope to take our Bernedoodle program.

Oakley’s genetics give us a really exciting foundation to do that intentionally. When the time comes, we’ll carefully select a stud whose genetics complement hers with the goal of producing those beautiful traditional tri-color puppies.

And something else we LOVE about Oakley?

〰️ She’s genetically straight-coated.

Oakley has two copies of the non-curl gene, meaning she will pass a straight-coat gene to every one of her puppies. Our goal is those gorgeous, loose, straighter Bernedoodle coats while still keeping the furnished “doodle” face we love. 🤎

Of course, Oakley has lots of growing up to do and future health testing before breeding is ever considered.

But if you’ve ever dreamed of a traditional tri-color Bernedoodle with a beautiful, straighter coat…

You might want to stick around for this girl. 🥰

The future of Canaan Ridge Bernedoodles is looking pretty exciting.
