Introducing our fairies that will bless us with their work at our Love With No Love Hearts exhibition, 28-29th August

Marine One’s (@marine_one_art) practice explores how identity is constructed through gender, cultural expectations, memory, and visual culture. Working across textiles, sculpture, painting, and installation, Marine reconstruct familiar images using printed fabric, hand sewing, digital collage, and soft materials. Growing up in Japan and later living in Europe informs her interest in how social codes shift across cultures. She use softness, humour, and the uncanny to destabilise familiar imagery, creating works that initially appear playful or comforting before revealing more complex questions around masculinity, belonging, and the expectations that shape how we see ourselves and others.

Emilia McSherry (@s0rry) is an Australian conceptual and performance artist whose work explores the intersection of sexuality, memory, and the enduring impacts of trauma on the body. Through performance, installation, and embodied practice, their work investigates the body as both archive and site of resistance; inviting audiences to engage with feelings of discomfort and resistance and challenge internalised preconceptions surrounding intimacy and sensuality.

@elenimelenii_ together with Chloe das Neves (@dooeclo) will present a dance performance created by Chloe das Neves, through their movement they will explore connection, religion and femininity.

After a little break ABri residency is back!!!We are looking for dancers/performers who want to develop new work for our third round of residency.

Artists will be able to create/ rehearse/ lead workshops in our space at @vespersclub (Peckham), 2hours a week over the course of 5 weeks. Which will end with a —ABri show on September 23rd, 19:00 - 23:00

Our monthly drawing social is back!

Join artists Billie M Vigne and Chloé Das Neves for 'Embossed Bodies'—a collaborative evening of embodied mark-making on metal and paper, performance and shrine-building. Drawing on your own sensations and bodily inclinations, you'll be guided through a series of mark-making exercises that seek to uncover a freer and more embodied way of drawing.

Everyone is welcome to these relaxed sessions, encouraging you to have a go and express yourself, whether you're new to drawing or a seasoned sketcher.

Chloé Das Neves is a multidisciplinary artist who explores the body and its visual representations through drawing and movement. Her practice is a conversation between the immaterial body and anatomical structure, and how we can keep track of this ongoing dialogue. Probing the materiality of memories, she uses the methodology of palimpsest to document the ephemerality of the body in motion. Through fragmentation, reconstruction and assemblage, her work recreates histories of bodies in space.

Almost 2 weeks ago we had our first residency show, VISCERA! We are still in awe of all the beautiful work that’s been presented and the support from everyone who attended -again it means so much for us. We are very excited for the next steps of ABri, so keep your eyes peeled for news 👀
