Oh my gosh I’m obsessed with the soba from @kajiken_sydney! They have amazing abura soba, an oil based noodle that you mix with sauces. I love how creamy the dishes were, tossed in with toppings of your choice.

We tried:

Original aburasoba 16.80

They did not disappoint. I’m coming back here for more!!

Are you a sourdough lover? If you are, you cannot miss trying out @bakebarbakery which specialises in artisanal sourdough.

I was so blown away by the quality of the bread and the freshness of the ingredients used in their dishes!

We tried:

- seared tuna salad - this was their summer special and was very refreshing and light, perfect for when you’re wanting a healthy and nutritious meal

- shakshuka - this is a warm and hearty dish that will leave you feeling super satisfied. It’s perfect with the sourdough and my dad devoured it all leaving nothing on the plate

- chilli mushroom eggs - this was cooked so nicely, the egg was soft and delicious and the mushrooms added a great flavour

Authentic Sichuan cuisine right in the heart of Sydney CBD! @wutabistro_syd has amazing chilli dishes and delicacies you won’t want to miss coming here.

We tried:
- sour and chilli boiled fish
- stinky tofu
- prawn and crab steamed egg
- pork and chicken soup
- stir fried greens
- pork ears

Everything was so yummy even my Asian parents approved, so you know it’s good.

Jujubes are in season! If you haven’t tried them, you’re missing out because they’re crispy and sweet and perfect as a snack.

Did you know they’re high in fibre, vitamins, minerals and amino acids that will aid with digestion and overall health?

You can add them to your favourite salad for a refreshing crunch, enjoy them as is, or put them as a topping on your morning Brekky muesli.

These ones from Royal Jujube @royaljujube are grown on Australian farms and are 100% natural with no additives. You can get them from Woolworth or Costco but get in quick before the season is over!

I’m in love with this Italian restaurant! @poppitino has beautiful and creative Italian dishes that will satisfy your tastebuds.

We tried:

Garlic bread with cheese
Burrata
Fig and Sam Daniele Proscuitto
Seafood hotpot
Fettuccini chilli crab and prawn
Lamb pizza
Roquette and pear
Seasonal veggies
Shoestring fries
Virgin mojito

I was so impressed by the flavours. Highly recommend the fig Proscuitto and lamb pizza. They’re sooooo good I can’t wait to come back for more!

Come with me to try some authentic ramen at @yasakaramen!

We tried the hugest bowl of ramen that literally feeds two people and the Tsukemen which not many restaurants have!

Both of them were super yummy and filling. The flavours were well balanced and the meat was so tender.

@taochineserestaurant is a modern and vibey place with very yummy dishes that came out so quickly. It feels so refined and there is a huge selection of drinks, cocktails and wines. It’s the perfect place for hanging out after work and enjoy some elevated Chinese dining.

We tried:
- truffle dumplings
- soft shell crab
- pork belly stone pot
- yuzu duck
- mango pudding

The pork belly was sooooo hearty. It had the perfect balance of flavour, and was super yummy over rice. The soft shell crab was crispy and flavoursome - I could not stop eating it! And the yuzu duck was very unique, with a sweet tangy taste.

Such a calm and relaxing high tea vibe at @amah.hojiak

Filled with yummy dumplings, mini desserts and delicious dishes, this is an Asian twist on the traditional high tea. The pork floss and cheeseburger croffles were so creative as well.

We also tried their bingsu - there’s so much variety, from taro to lychee to the 3 coloured ones with red bean and grass jelly.

I definitely loved the uniqueness of this set. You don’t often find Asian flavours in high tea so this was a lovely surprise. It’s plenty of food for two people as well.

Lunch for 2 for $16.80? Seriously these bento boxes at @fortunealley have so much food in them that it feeds 2 people.

You can get the small one for $14.80 and the big one for $16.80. So worth in this economy!

They have so many dishes to choose from, including dumplings, noodles, rice dishes and other yummy Chinese food.

It’s so worth when you’re feeling like a hearty meal but don’t want to break your wallet! My Asian parents approve!

I can’t believe I hadn’t tried Indonesia food until now!! @ria.australia has super yummy street food dishes that are aromatic and flavourful - they really give you a kick!

We tried their crispy duck, beef and chicken dishes and they were so amazing. Super crispy and well cooked. Even my partner who is a fried food connoisseur loved it!

Come here for some affordable Indonesian street food - you won’t regret it!
