Photographer!

Save this post. I’m about to give you a masterclass in getting clients into your business no matter what city you’re in!

Most photographers struggle to get “CONSISTENT” clients.

They think that because they take good photos, clients will find them.

This is WRONG.

The clients that I shoot on a daily basis find me because of ONE thing.

It’s because of this ONE thing that I’m able to book 10-20 photoshoots a month.

(This has nothing to do with the city I’m in either.)

That ONE thing is “MARKETING.”

In order for you to book clients, you have to get people who don’t know you to see your work.

I’m able to do this by spending $5/day on ads to show my work to people in my city.

You’re afraid of ads, aren’t you?

If so, let me ask you this: how many people do you know that you can pay $5/day, and they will talk about your business 24/7?

NO ONE, RIGHT?

Well, ads will do just that, if you do it right!

I use what I call a BAIT post. It’s a post that shows off your best work and then has a Call To Action for people who are interested to reach out to you.

This allows me to get 10-15 people a day to reach out (Not all of them become clients, but a percentage of them do.)

The truth is, if you’re a photographer and you aren’t improving your outside of just taking good picture.

You will be that DOPE photographer that’s not getting paid their worth and that no one knows about.

So, if you’d like to get better at this skill, go ahead and Follow: @DopeshotU

I share tips daily that will help you market your photography business.

On top of that, I host FREE IG Live and Zoom calls to help photographers apply this in their business weekly.

I’d love to have you on one. Just shoot me a DM with the word ZOOM and I’ll send you the next training details.

Hope this helps, Photographer 📸 by @dopeshotu

Being a good photographer alone is not enough to make your photography business successful.

You also need to know how to get clients.

If no one sees your great pictures, you won’t be able to get clients.

That’s why it’s important to learn how to market your business and get your work out there.

One way to do this is by running ads showcasing your work like I did with my client Chekesha.

She saw my post as an Ad.

Reached out to me and we had a conversation.

I sent her my packages and prices, and she became a client.

That’s how simple is should be.

If I hadn’t run that ad, I wouldn’t have had her as a client.

So, it’s important to learn from someone who has experience getting clients into their photography business.

You can also hire people to market your business for you.

But, if you don’t have a system to consistently bring people into your business, you won’t have a successful photography business.

Don’t just be a photographer, learn how to get clients too.

Stop pricing your work to be fair. Six-figure creatives price every package so the right client thinks, “that’s who I want.” Your price is a filter, not a favor.

Working harder makes you easier to replace. Build the thing they can’t find twice. by @dopeshotu

Stop posting to the same followers and hoping someone new finds you. Six-figure creatives put their work in front of new people in their city every day. Your whole city is your audience, not just your followers.

Stop leaving your bookings up to the algorithm. Six-figure creatives use every post like a billboard for their next client. Your Instagram is your best salesperson, not a highlight reel. by @dopeshotu

Chopped it up with @lamarvisuals a dope videographer/photographer about why clients don’t price you based on quality alone.

You raise your rates when you give clients what they actually want: photos and videos that make them MORE MONEY. That’s when your value goes up.

Should I drop more clips from this conversation? I’d usually charge people $500 per half hour conversation with me on growing their business, this is a sneak peek inside of one of those convos. by @dopeshotu

Every goodbye on this list makes room for a client who actually pays. Who’s on yours? #dopeshotu by @dopeshotu

Photographers, here’s why your referrals are slowing down even though your work keeps getting better.

It’s called the two doors effect.

There are only two ways clients find photographers now.

Door one is the scroll. Someone on Instagram sees your work and DMs you. They weren’t even looking for a photographer.

Door two is the search. They already know they need photos, so they type “branding photographer near me” into Google. Whoever shows up at the top usually gets the booking.

Referrals used to be a third door. But you never got to choose when it opened.

In most cities there aren’t enough searches to keep you booked off Google alone. You need both doors.

And AI can now stand at both of them for you.
