Kinesiology [noun]
The study of human body movement.

In less than 24 hours, I graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration in exercise science. From becoming a published author my freshman year to presenting research at national conferences, this journey has everything but ordinary. My education has fueled my passion to combine exercise and medicine to improve patient health outcomes.

~To my mentor and school mom, Professor Hopkins, thank you for all the wisdom, guidance, and encouragement you have given me. We have grown together over the years and my journey wouldn’t have been the same without you.

~To my sports med girls and football family, thank you for all the memories, laughs, and sideline chats. I am forever grateful for the opportunity to work in sports and to see you all reach your dreams. You all became the family I didn’t know I needed and one of the best gifts A&T has given me.

~To my Phi Epsilon Kappa family, I am honored to have served as PEK president for 2 years and to watch the organization grow. You all are so unique and accomplished but together make a wonderful team. Continue to lean on one another and I can’t wait to see what you all have planned.

Growing up my mom always told me “Going to an HBCU is going to make you work for what you want.” As I graduate on May 10, 2025 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration of Exercise Science degree and a 3.9 GPA from the largest Public Historically Black College and University, North Carolina A&T State University, I reflect on my journey these past 4 years. This journey has showcased my resilience and determination and passion for leaving a place better than I found it. Yet, all this was completed with grace and sophistication. I am proud to join a 3RD GENERATION of AGGIE alumni.

~To my parents and grandparents, thank you teaching me that prayer gets you through anything and that God is bigger than any obstacle I face.

~To my big sister, thank you for always encouraging me and being my support system…. And of course buying me endless Uber eats.

~To my lil bro, aka Honey Bunches, as you matriculate into undergrad and join the AGGIE family, I encourage you take advantage of every opportunity and trust God. Remember, you can never fail, you can only win or learn. Never be afraid to make mistakes because your sisters will always be there to pick you back up.
