Meet the Pedestrian Advocacy Group (PAG): Residents, community members, and partners working for safer, more accessible, and walkable streets.

Right now, PAG is advocating for:
🚶🏾‍♀️A blinking crosswalk signal at Mary Hannon Playground
🚶🏾‍♀️ Sidewalk repairs on Dudley Street
🚶🏾‍♀️Better signals at Columbia Rd, Dudley St & Stoughton St
🚶🏾‍♀️Safer walking conditions under the bridge at Uphams Corner Station

SAFE STREETS. STRONGER NEIGHBORHOODS.

Getting kids to school, workers to the T, and small businesses the foot traffic they depend on.

You walk these blocks. You know what needs attention. Advocate with us. 💜

Get involved: email our Community Engagement Team at CE@DBEDC.org.

What does keeping our minds healthy as we age actually look like?

That's the question residents explored with the @healthyboston this month in a conversation about dementia, the misconceptions around it, and the everyday habits that support brain health.

The Boston Public Health Commission didn't just walk us through the research. They helped separate the myths from the facts and stuck around to answer resident questions one-on-one.

Housing gives you a place to live. A strong community gives you connection, trusted resources, and opportunities for well-being at every stage. 🧠💛

✨ Have you seen what's been happening at Plaza Borinquen? ✨

We're officially halfway through our 2026 Plaza Borinquen Activation & Community Visioning Series, and we're so grateful for everyone who's joined us in reimagining this incredible community space.

Last weekend, neighbors came together for a vibrant Tie-Dye & Indigo Dye Workshop, creating custom bandanas, tote bags, and T-shirts while enjoying fresh watermelon, salad, pizza, and fries. It was a beautiful day of creativity, connection, and community!

🎨 Missed it? You're in luck! We're hosting Round Two this Saturday, August 1 | 12:00–3:00 PM, and we'd love to see you there.

But we're just getting started! We have a full summer of free workshops, events, and community gatherings ahead—and we want to hear from you.

💬 What has been your favorite part of the summer so far?
🌱 What events or workshops would you like to see?
🎉 Do you have an idea for a community event you'd like to host?

Visit our website to learn more about upcoming events or to host your own community gathering at Plaza Borinquen. Together, we're building a space that reflects the creativity, culture, and vision of our neighborhood.
