2025 is a special year for me. As some of you know, I quit my full time finance job 3 weeks ago. It wasn’t a whim, but it was a leap. I realized it was time to stop being afraid, to stop making excuses, and to run hard at the damn thing. Because finally, I looked in the mirror, and knew I was ready. Ready to go for the dream. Ready to live in the moment. Ready to stop worrying so much about how to make life safe and instead start trying to make life joyful. This isn’t about validation anymore, because I know who I am. This is about doing what I love more than anything in the world. I might fail, I might succeed. But I will never wonder what might have been - and that’s the beauty of trying.

So hi, thanks for being here. I’m pleased to introduce the older, wiser, more confident Dorea. She’s now a full time working actor. And she’s ready to BOOK. 🖊️

Help a girl out - which shot is your favorite? 😘

“Work ethic” isn’t usually the problem. It’s usually circumstances. I’m frustrated by the trending narrative I see in so much discourse about the SNAP benefits, and the negative stigma around people who need help. So here’s my story. Officially the same age as Carrie Bradshaw & Lorelai Gilmore when they were introduced to me. So I’m in good company. Embracing 32. 🥂

Thank you so much to all my friends and family for the beautiful weekend you gave me. It was a few days of simple joy and relaxation - I’m grateful for it. I so appreciate every text, DM, hug, card, gift, & cocktail shared. People are what make life worth living and I am surrounded by some damn good people. 🤍

shoutout to @kirstyn_nichole for being there every year to go on whatever wild adventure I want, @juliabkeesler for planning so I didn’t have to, and @hollander1989 for making sure I took time for having fun, despite the hectic mess of life 🥰 by @dorea_slagle

Soooo I started a coaching business this year! I haven’t talked about it much on socials, but I’m excited to be booking more and more amazing clients who want to sharpen their acting skills, navigate the industry, and find what brings out THEIR best work. 👏

If you’re new here, hi! I’m Dorea. I have over a decade of experience directing in film and theater. My greatest joy is being a storyteller & helping actors I work with grow & succeed. 💫

More to come, but if you want to book a FREE consulting session with me, comment COACH below. And remember, you’ve got this. 🎭🎬

Fall always feels like the right time for a little change.
A time to stand still and breathe in the crisp air.
A chance to reset the schedule.
A moment to check-in with one’s self.
It’s been a long 4 months. Life has been… challenging.
Changing your hair is a small thing.
But I believe that opening yourself up to small changes, can lead to big changes.
Here’s to what comes next. 🤎
