I started this 18th century robe a la franscaise as a passion project, which turned into a long haul commitment. After many rounds of undergarments, alterations and the commitment to sewing it all by hand, I'm proud to say she is complete 🏆 by @doriandressmaker

The fashion school I teach at said 'we are having a ball, in a palace'. Which to me, seemed like the perfect opportunity to make a ballgown to wear to the ball 👗😊

My latest project was a bit different than my usual dressmaking and costume adventures. As an end of the year gift, I made 16 dragon pillows for my preschoolers in the Drachen class 🐉plus 3 mini ones for my colleagues and me. They turned out absolutely precious, and have been adorned with accessories already by my kiddos.

Today I had the amazing experience of visiting @showstoppersnyc Costume Exhibit in NYC! It was one of the most incredible experiences I've ever had. Yep, we are definitely doing Annie!! The sewing room couch is covered in costumes lined up for alterations for next weekends' show. These kids are working hard in the heat, and next week will be even hotter. Can't wait to see it all put together!

Hello everyone! Welcome into my world of sewing and creating. I'm rebranding my sewing instagram to promote my alterations, customizations, and overall dressmaking adventures. Follow along as I make and learn, from historical undergarments, to mending holes in my jeans, and everything in between.

I'm also openly welcoming custom sewing jobs, so let me mend your jeans, too! In this time of fast fashion and polyester (plastic), our Earth is suffering from the amount of clothing humans throw away. I thought my closet was feeling a bit empty...that's because half my wardrobe is in my sewing room for alterations! Perks of being a seamstress include altering my own clothes to fit be better than they do off the rack. Quarantine day 57- clothing alterations!
