Grateful for The Journey

Sometimes I need remind myself that where I’m at now is exactly what I I used to pray for 5 years ago. I imagined I would live in the city and never thought it would actually be possible. Now I feel I’m starting to grow roots here.

There were times I thought I’d want to move somewhere warmer, but living in the mix of the city has become exactly here I want to be and feel comfortable in. Even on the days when I get frustrated with my progress career wise, I need to look back and remember just how far I’ve come and to keep moving forward.

I used to think someone else had the key to my success, but I’ve learned that’s giving wayyyyyy too much power away. My work has to speak for itself to be undeniable and purposeful. If not then I haven’t earned it. I’m thankful I can create my own platform in taking photos, editing videos, and posting whenever I want.

There’s never been a better time to build your own path and make your own work. No gatekeepers needed, just create. I’m grateful for where I am now but I understand it now,lol it’s a now or never mentality. I’ll put in the work to keep pushing toward my goals.

Let’s remind each other to appreciate how far we’ve come, even if the road feels long. Keep creating, keep growing.
