Arabísk menning draup af hverju strái í Iðnó síðasta laugardag þegar hópur írakskra, marokkóskra, palestínskra og íslenskra listamanna var með viðburðadagskrá frá hádegi til miðnættis.

Fólki gafst færi á að kynnast og njóta fjölbreyttrar menningar í gegnum trommu og dans smiðjur, arabísku kennslu og matarsmakk. Hápunktur dagskrárinnar voru tónleikar og sögustund með Simona Abdallah.

Hjartans þakkir til ykkar allra sem komuð að skipulagningu, leidduð námskeið, elduðuð mat, kennduð arabísku, komuð fram og mættuð sem gestir. Þetta var eftirminnilegur dagur! ♡

Arab culture filled every corner of Iðnó last Saturday as a group of Iraqi, Moroccan, Palestinian, and Icelandic artists presented a programme of events from noon until midnight.

Visitors had the opportunity to experience and enjoy a rich variety of cultural traditions through drumming and dance workshops, Arabic language lessons, and food tastings. One of the highlights of the day was the concert and storytelling session by Simona Abdallah.

Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make the day possible — those who took part in the planning, led workshops, cooked food, taught Arabic, performed, and joined us as guests. It was an unforgettable day! ♡ by @doridevarhythm
