Three years ago today, I took a leap of faith. 🇨🇦🍁

October 16, 2023 — I arrived in Canada with a suitcase full of dreams, a heart full of prayers, and no idea what the next chapter of my life would look like.

If I could go back and hug that version of myself, I’d whisper, “I’m so proud of you for taking this big step. The road ahead will be bumpy, but God has got you. Keep going, no matter what.” 🥹

And oh, what a journey these three years have been.

There were silent battles, unexpected detours, heartbreaks, and countless nights when all I could do was pray. There were sacrifices nobody saw, tears nobody knew about, and moments when I questioned if I was strong enough to keep going.

But God never let go of me.

Some prayers were answered differently. Some doors had to close. And some things had to fall apart to make room for something beautiful.

Through it all, one of my greatest reasons to keep going has always been my little girl 👧🏻, Ysabella. 🤍

My love for her has been a constant in every season. No matter how much life changes or how many miles separate us, being her Mama will always be one of the greatest blessings and most beautiful parts of who I am.

Somewhere along the way, I found pieces of myself I never knew I’d lost. I learned to start over, to trust God’s timing, and to find joy in the life unfolding before me.

Today, I may not have everything figured out, but I have so much to be grateful for.

Three years later, I’m not the same woman who arrived here. I’m stronger, softer, wiser, and more grateful.

And if there’s one thing these three years have taught me, it’s that God’s faithfulness doesn’t mean the road will always be easy. It means I will never have to walk it alone.

Here’s to three years of courage, growth, grace, and answered prayers. And to all the beautiful things God is still preparing. 🤍

Some of the best memories really come from the most unplanned moments. 🥹🤍

Last-minute notices, spontaneous trips, unexpected celebrations… and somehow, you still showed up. No long preparation, no perfect plans, just genuine love, effort, laughter, and people who made time...

I appreciate you all more than you know. Thank you for being part of these little moments that turned into memories I’ll always treasure.

I live with the distance between Canada and the Philippines. I live with video calls instead of bedtime cuddles, “I love you, Mama” through a screen instead of whispered goodnights beside her.

Some days, I’m okay. Some days, I’m not.

There are moments when I question myself. Moments when I wonder if I’m missing too much, if she feels my absence, or if I’m doing enough to still be her Mama from thousands of miles away.

But I remind myself that motherhood isn’t measured only by physical presence.

I may not be there for every ordinary moment, but I am still here—loving her, praying for her, supporting her, celebrating her, and building a future with the hope that one day, this distance will only be a chapter of our story.

I didn’t choose to love my daughter less.

I chose to keep going, even when loving her from afar hurts like hell.

And if you ask me how I can do it…

I do it because I’m her Mama.
And a mother doesn’t stop being a mother just because she has to love her child from a distance.

I miss you every single day, Bebe.
Mama loves you more than words could ever explain. 🤍

One day, I pray I won’t have to answer this question anymore.

To my beautiful cousin Kaylene, congratulations on finding your person and beginning this beautiful new chapter. 🤍

I’m not sure if I’m the best person to give marriage advice....hehe life has definitely humbled me enough to know that. 😅 But maybe that’s also why I wanted to say something..

As someone who has been through different seasons of life, I’ve learned that love is so much more than the butterflies, the beautiful pictures, and the “I do.” Love is in the choosing, especially on the days when things aren’t easy. It’s in the patience, the forgiveness, the understanding, and the decision to keep showing up for each other.

Marriage will have beautiful seasons, but there will also be seasons that will test you. When those moments come, I hope you both remember that you are not enemies, you are partners. Fight the problem, never each other. Talk when it’s hard. Listen even when you think you already understand. Say sorry. Forgive. Laugh together. And never let pride become bigger than your love.

And most importantly, keep God in the middle of it all. Pray for each other, pray with each other, and let Him guide your marriage when you don’t know what to do. Because sometimes, love needs more than feelings, it needs grace. 🤍

Kaylene, as your cousin and Ate, one thing I truly wish for you is that you experience the kind of love that gives you peace. A home where you can be completely yourself. A husband like EJ who continues to choose you and prioritize you no matter what. And a marriage where, through every season, you both can look back and say, “We made it because we never stopped choosing each other.”

May you grow old together with more stories, more laughter, more answered prayers, and hopefully still annoy each other when you’re both old and wrinkly. 😂❤️

Congratulations, my dear Ninang Kaye. Your new chapter has just begun, and I’m genuinely so happy to witness you step into it even from miles away..

Today, we thank God for the beautiful gift of your life. Ninety years of love, strength, grace, and countless blessings. We are so grateful that God chose you to be the heart of our family.

Your generous heart, selfless love, and strength have touched so many lives. You have given so much of yourself to the people you love, always putting others before you and loving without asking for anything in return.

You are more than our Grandma.. you are our hero, our inspiration, and one of God’s greatest blessings to our family. ❤️

As you celebrate this beautiful milestone, may God continue to surround you with His love, protect you, strengthen you, and fill your days with joy, peace, and beautiful memories with the people who love you dearly.

No expensive gift could ever compare to hearing your little voice sing “Happy Birthday” to Mama..

Being miles away from you is never easy, but moments like this remind me that no matter the distance, a mother’s heart will always find its way home to her child…
