📖 One of the biggest changes in my Bible reading happened when I started asking better questions.Instead of trying to rush through chapters, I began slowing down and asking things like:💙 What do I notice about God?🔎 What doesn’t make sense yet?🌿 How should this change me?✨ What’s my takeaway?❓What questions am I still working through? Those simple questions have helped me move from just reading the Bible to actually engaging with it.You don’t have to understand everything the first time you read. Stay curious. Keep asking questions. Keep opening your Bible. The goal isn’t just to finish your reading. It’s to know the God who gave us His Word.✨ Save this carousel for your next Bible study, and let me know…Which question do you think will help you the most? 💙#SheLivesTheWord #BibleStudy #BibleStudyTips #ReadYourBible #BibleJournaling by @dorindawing

This is how I take notes while I read my Bible. Before I begin, I set up a few simple categories:🙏 Pray — what I want to pray before or after reading💙 Notice God — what the passage shows me about His character🔎Make It Make Sense — context, connections, and anything I need to understand better🌿Live It — how this truth should change the way I live✨ Takeaway — the main truth I want to remember❓ Questions I’m Still Working Through — the things I want to study, pray about, or revisitThis system helps me slow down, stay curious, and engage with the passage instead of simply finishing the chapter. It isn’t the only way to take Bible notes, it’s just the process that works best for me.And one last thing… my favorite pens are @gomr.pen . They come in lots of colors, they don’t smudge, and they’ve held up really well as I’ve studied. They’ve definitely become my go-to pens. Do you use categories when you study, or do you write whatever stands out?#SheLivesTheWord #BibleStudyTips #BibleNotes #BibleJournaling by @dorindawing

We hear this all the time:“God won’t give you more than you can handle.”But it’s actually not in the Bible. The truth is even better. There will be moments that are far more than you can handle on your own. That’s exactly why we need Jesus.God never promised we’d always be strong enough. He promised He would be.So if you’re feeling overwhelmed today, don’t assume you’re failing. Let it remind you to lean into the One whose strength never runs out.Let’s open our Bibles and make it make sense.🤍 She doesn’t just read the Word… she lives it.#SheLivesTheWord #BibleStudy #BibleTruth #ReadYourBible#womenintheword by @dorindawing

I used to think reading my Bible was mostly about learning more. Then one day I realized…I thought I was reading my Bible. But my Bible was reading me.God’s Word has a way of exposing what’s in our hearts, challenging us, encouraging us, and gently changing us one page at a time.Every time I open my Bible, my prayer is the same:God, don’t just give me more information. Transform me.Because the goal isn’t just to finish another chapter. It’s to leave a little more like Jesus than when I started. 🤍📖#SheLivesTheWord #BibleStudy #ChristianWomen #BibleReading #FaithJourney by @dorindawing

If you’ve ever opened your Bible and thought, “I have no idea what’s going on,” you’re not alone. No one starts by knowing it all.Every one of us starts the same way… by opening it.Keep reading. Keep asking questions. Keep showing up.Over time, what once felt confusing becomes familiar because God is faithful to teach us through His Word. 🤍She doesn’t just read the Word. When I was young, I heard people at church talk about “the righteousness of Christ” all the time. And I had absolutely no idea what they meant. 😂🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️It sounded important. Very churchy. So I just nodded along like, Yes. The righteousness of Christ. Of course. 😂But what does it actually mean? This is why I love taking the words and phrases we hear in church and slowing down long enough to make them make sense.Because sometimes we’ve heard something a hundred times and still need someone to explain it simply. So let’s make it make sense. 🤍📖#BibleStudy #ChristianWomen #BibleTeaching #ChristianInstagram #SheLivesTheWord by @dorindawing

The scary thing about compromise is that we don’t always see the consequences right away.In 1 Kings 11, Solomon’s heart didn’t turn away from God all at once. What he allowed, tolerated, and continued eventually affected his devotion to God.That was my reminder from today’s reading:Today’s compromise can become tomorrow’s consequence. The small choices matter. What we allow matters. And who we allow to influence us matters.📖 1 Kings 11Let’s open our Bibles and make it make sense. 🤍#SheLivesTheWord #BibleStudy #BibleStudyTips #womanoftheword #WomenInTheWord by @dorindawing
