![Welcome Dorine Mugisha! LYDC’s October Choreographer🎉
Dorine is a French and Tanzanian multidisciplinary artist based in Scotland working across movement, theatre and community practice between the UK and Tanzania.
From law student to youth work, to artist, Dorine brings unique perspectives and has an interest in themes of belonging, culture and body image. Her practice is often
participatory; centring joy, collaboration and exchange.
During her week with LYDC Dorine will explore how individual and collective energy intertwine to create moments of release and celebration. Using elements of
Whacking, she will play with expression and tension, creating powerful pictures and dynamic moments of connection, freedom and joy.

writing which reads “Dorine Mugisha” in colourful text that matched the colours from the previous image. A splayed hand and foot are reaching into the image from the right-hand side.
