Introducing our newest Dori Media segment with a bang; one of the hottest recent S15 builds out of Ireland 🇮🇪 ! Dori Videos is committed to bringing the spot light to grass roots drivers and events, and this post covers two big ones that are coming up.

After meeting Josh at Final Bout, we asked him some questions about his amazing S15 and the Irish drift scene. A truly awesome build with a driver who can really wheel. He sat and told us about Tanoshidori, his involvement with @juiceboxforyou , and his inspiration behind the build.

“This is something I’ve had in the works for quite a while.

Over the years I’ve shared deep dives into Japanese tuning culture through Instagram posts, but I always felt limited by 20 slides and a 2,200-character caption. So many of these stories deserve more context than that, and I wanted a place where they could live permanently instead of disappearing into the feed.

This is the beginning of that.

In the first episode of Garage Sokudo Archives, I sit down with Ito-san from Weld Techniques Factory to explore the history of one of Japan’s most innovative workshops. We dive into the philosophy behind Weld, the iconic cars they’ve built over the years, and some of the creative ideas and products that made the company so unique.

The new AI-assisted scoring system (named UDSM) officially debuted this weekend at Formula Drift Long Beach, marking a major shift in how runs are judged.

Using real-time telemetry, the system now measures factors like line, angle, and speed to generate most of a driver’s score, while judges still evaluate style and execution.

But after its first full weekend in action, there’s already been plenty of conversation in the pits and online about how accurate the scoring really is. Many drivers have put down runs that looked exceptional by past standards, yet scores have landed in the 83–84 range; numbers that might have been higher under the previous judging style.

It’s still early, and like any new system, there’s an adjustment period.
The goal is more consistency and transparency; but the debate about how it compares to traditional judging is just getting started.

What are you thoughts? Kick the robots out? Or Maintain a panel of judges that use it as a tool instead of hard scoring?
