“Run to the Gates of Troy” gives Dorothy Mour’s fascination with myth an emotional language, placing the bond of Achilles and Patroclus inside a trip-hop setting. Inspired by Madeline Miller’s The Song of Achilles, the song uses the story to examine love, sacrifice, desperation, and the human cost of conflict.

Neue Musik von Dorothy Mour | Text: @adrianprath

16.09.2026

- Redaktion

NEW SINGLE: 16.09.26 - Run to the Gates of Troy ✨

Last year I read “The Song of Achilles” by @madeline.e.miller and totally fell in love with it. It was such an intimate take on The Iliad, while still keeping the grandiose tragedy of the Trojan war alive.

Needless to say, it inspired me to write a song, together with @vilmar.mp3

Swipe ➡️for a sneak peak of the song on slide 3 :))
And pre-save it through the link in my bio!
