Every cultivation facility hits the same crossroads: keep scaling, or keep it simple — with the DS Controller, ProGrow didn't have to choose. Customization, flexibility, and one of the most intuitive interfaces they'd used meant they could scale on their own terms without adding complexity.
The real difference came from the partnership — working hand-in-hand with the Dosatron team to keep adapting the system to what the operation actually needed. The result: labor saved, ROI that held up over time, and the consistent yields that matter most in a market that keeps getting more competitive.

Labor is one of the biggest costs in cultivation, and for ProGrow, cutting it down without cutting corners was the goal. What used to take 3 people mixing salts and water by hand, every day, now takes one — saving 2.5 hours of labor daily while keeping every dose consistent.
The result isn't just time saved — it's healthier plants, more reliable yields, and a system operators trust enough to recommend across the industry.

Scaling a cultivation facility isn’t just about more plants — it’s about maintaining precision at every step. For ProGro, the ability to expand without compromising accuracy was non-negotiable. Their solution? A fertigation system built to scale with them, not limit them.

Software can’t fix unstable fertigation — and no amount of dashboards or automation will save your crop if the fundamentals are broken.
In this video, Fertigation Kurt breaks down why inconsistent flow rates, pressure swings, and non‑proportional injection lead to overfeeding, underfeeding, pH drift, and stressed plants — no matter how advanced the software looks.
✅ Learn why:

Software doesn’t fix bad mechanics — it hides them
Unstable fertigation leads to inconsistent nutrient delivery
Dosing must be tied directly to real water flow
Stability must come before automation

That’s why Dosatron water‑powered injectors focus on mechanically proportional dosing. As water flows, nutrients flow — no electricity, no lag, no guessing. Just precise, repeatable injection every time.
Once stability is in place, software actually helps.
The Dilution Solutions IQ Controller adds smart scheduling, real‑time monitoring, alarms, and recipe logic on top of a stable system — not instead of it.
Remember: software should support fertigation, not try to fix a broken one.

Monitoring and controlling are NOT the same thing — and confusing the two is one of the biggest mistakes growers make with cultivation software.
In this video, Fertigation Kurt explains the critical difference between monitoring (seeing what’s happening) and controlling (deciding what happens next), and why software that jumps straight to control — without stable hardware or real‑world feedback — often causes more problems than it solves.
✅ Learn why good cultivation software should:

Monitor pH, EC, flow, pressure, and system health in real time
Alert you when something changes
Show trends before issues turn into crop loss

❌ And why bad software fails when it:

Blindly controls dosing and timing
Ignores actual water flow and mechanical stability
Overrides proven physics with guesswork

That’s why the Dilution Solutions IQ Controller is built differently.
Dosatron injectors handle proportional dosing mechanically — stable, reliable, and tied directly to water flow — while the IQ Controller focuses on smart monitoring and informed control, including recipes, plant‑day logic, alarms, and reporting.
You stay informed.
You stay in control.
And your plants get consistency — not surprises.

The best cultivation software doesn’t try to do everything — it focuses on what actually matters.
In this video, Fertigation Kurt breaks down why more features, more buttons, and more automation don’t equal better growing. When cultivation software tries to control dosing, timing, logic, and decisions all at once, it often creates complexity, confusion, and costly mistakes. Growers end up babysitting dashboards instead of crops.
✅ Learn what good cultivation software should do:

Monitor critical metrics like pH, EC, flow, and pressure
Alert you when something changes
Support consistency without overriding stable hardware

❌ And what it shouldn’t do:

Over‑automate decision‑making
Replace proven mechanical systems
Create black‑box control you can’t trust

That’s exactly why the Dilution Solutions IQ Controller is designed to do less — on purpose. It doesn’t replace Dosatron’s mechanically proportional dosing; it supports it. You get real‑time monitoring, smart recipes, plant‑day logic, and alarms — without over‑engineering your grow or locking you into subscriptions.
No black‑box decisions.
No unnecessary complexity.
Just clean, purposeful control where it actually counts.
